I'm here, but this is my first night off in a while, and I'm just relaxing and soaking up some tuneage. I plan to get all the demo threads updated with new demo requests, and get the RTiA5 and VM30's moving tomorrow.

    Cheers,
    Russ

I wonder how the VM series compares to the LSi series...

If you're an LSi fan, the VM30's will be a big change. Personally, I like a speaker to stand on it's own. The VM30's require a subwoofer. The LSi's don't.

I was wondering because they aren't exactly cheap and they look so cool. The size and design would be perfect in my interior.

I hope they don't sound as nice as the LSi's, because I don't want to upgrade again :D

Aren't there any reviews about the VM series?

I'm going to be home a bit in July. I could give them a fair comparison to the RTi's in HT and also in the 2 ch rig.. You can add me to the list for the Demo. After Sami of course.

Badass speakers. Unfortunatly I am 1. Down in Houston, 2. Still a fairly new member, and 3. Wouldn't know how the hell to set everything up. Cool thing you are offering tho!
Update: Once again allowed on polk forums from work! New job yaaaay. Well sorta.

Do you folks ever do demos for the Houston area? I would love to be involved as well, but live too far away from DFW...

A Houston run wouldn't be out of the question. I'm headed down to Galveston in mid-July. Lets get some posts / participation going, and I'll post a Houston demo thread in a couple weeks. If there is enough interest, I don't see why we can't create a new thread and roll with it.

Thanks for the prompt response RuSsMan. I don't know how many other folks in Houston are interested, so I'll create a thread to see if some of the other Houston folks would like to participate. :)

    Russ,

Construction is supposed to be complete middle to end of October. So, it will be Nov till I could give these a good demo. Hopefully, you will still have the speakers then.

Looks like a few Houston area folks are interested per the thread I posted at http://www.polkaudio.com/forums/showthread.php?t=69410. I hope that's enough interest for us to proceed... :)

Wifred, I'm talking with long time Polkie Phuz and the VM30's will be headed south in short order to make some demo rounds. Like I said, not to leave people out - but a 2K pair of speakers aren't going to be dropped off to just anyone - we've got to nail down some sort of plan here. I'm not saying you, or anyone else interested is dishonest, but as a forum whole we need to have all the ducks in a row if that makes sense.

    Stay tuned brother.

    RuSsMaN,

I understand completely. I would love to demo if I could, but if the fact that I'm a newer member prevents me from doing so I won't complain .

Just a bump for this thread. I moved over the 4th of July and am not using these any more. Sor far they are gathering dust in the office at our new house. Wish I had some spare gear to run these things with for an office system.
