Should just make it 150-200 posts to be able to list things for sale and be done with it. People don't have that kind of patience to post just so they can plug their crap in the flea market.
On another note, I think some of the newer versions of vbulletin have feedback systems built in where the user can leave feedback for the other person. It also gives the ability to provide a link to the for sale thread so potential buyers/sellers can reference previous transactions.
Justin would have to clarify for us. I know www.evolutionm.net uses this and it works great. -
I'm not sure if raising the post count required would help much.
I just had someone on Audiogon with a rating of 200+ and no negative feedback ship something to me carelessly. I was shipped a Rega TT(I know, I know, don't have TT's shipped) and he left the platter and counterweight in the dust cover, unsecured. Needless to say, they both came loose during shipping and probably blasted the cartridge and stylus. I emailed him and he promises to make good on it, but still, this could have been easily avoided."He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. Original packaging is WAAAAY overrated as protection. It might add a little to the value of the item along with the owners manny, but if somebody wants to SHIP me something in nothing more than original packaging, I'm probably not buying. I can pack for a safer shipment with my eyes closed, AND, I have received equipment that was damaged when shipped in nothing more than OP, from a fairly well regarded, NO let's make that an EXTREMELY well regarded member of this forum.
