Flatten 'em!! Let's see now...just keep eating those Philly Cheesesteaks & plop your **** on it. That'll do the trick!!! Or better yet at the next 'fest we can have a sit-in & take turns plopping our buts on 'em. Funny I don't have that problem with my CD's!!! :D

I'm 6'3" and 185 lbs. I tried that and discovered my arse ain't big enough!

    Thanks Ricardo.
Do yourself a favor and purchase Vinyl-Zyme Gold. I have used this Bug Juice first on all my records even ones that were not damaged in a flood. This stuff is amazing. It eats the crap that grows in the grooves over time. If you had your collection in storage for ten years this product is a must.

One 2 oz. bottle makes four gallons of solution or one gallon of extra strength. This is more than you'll ever use unless of course you are like me and use it on every LP. When I am cleaning a record that has been in storage, I use this first then MFSL super deep cleaning fluid, then MFSL record wash, I finish with VPI record cleaning fluid. If I am just cleaning a record that has been sitting around a while, I use the Bug Juice then VPI record cleaning fluid. I am waiting on my order of LAST 2. This is a record preservative. I have used the original product called LAST and it worked very well.

Joe, a few questions for you. How has this LAST 2 product worked out (feel free to reply here or in the original thread).

Any suggestions for treating covers and paper lyric sleeves that hold records with visible mold spores?

Sorry Steve I just saw this, I was in Atlantic City, we went to the Sheryl Crow concert last night it was friggin awesome.

Mold spores problems can be taken care of and removed from the vinyl with Vinyl-Zyme Gold, you can get it here and here.

As far as covers and sleeves you are out of luck. Once the mold gets into paper or cardboard of anykind it becomes part of the material like cancer does in our bodies. The only way to get rid of it is to cut it out. I've had to ditch many, many record jackets and sleeves but was able to salvage the vinyl itself. I use MFSL inner sleeves for the record and use blank white cardboard jackets as the record jacket itself. I use a Sharpe to write the pertinent data on the blank jacket.

I believe Last 2 is the same as the old original LAST product which I used and still use. . . eff the EPA . . . kidding! It is absorbed by the vinyl and it makes it more pliable thus allowing the cartridge to move through the groove more smoothly and will not allow mistracking, antiskating errors or misalignment fault to distort the vinyl itself thus reducing or eliminating wear. I've a few hundred records that I treated with LAST 25 years ago and they are very well preserved. If you look on some record pictures that I've posted there is a LAST label on the main label.
