Vinyl jones has been quench this evening with a brand new ZYX R100 FS Fuji mounted on an SME V recently rewired with Cardas wire. I'm also getting to hear the phono stage of the VTL TL 5.5 for the first time.

Ahhhhhhh the inner detail and bass depth.

actually Carl, I was doing the SACD. But I heard the vinyl and agree it is awesome.

The vinyl was at Musicdirect anyway, Alison is awesome and the guys in the band can really play, that big double bass can crawl up your crotch especially on the track Forget about It.

Yeah, I noticed that too. The concrete floor rumbles underneth my feet when they kick into the instrumental break. Good stuff. I have the SACD and I understand that it is out of print.

yea, Rounder is Kaput, someone should pick up the rights, but the vinyl is top notch, I do not have it yet, just heard it at a buds house.

I think we should rotate this machine as Chuck suggested, of course since he suggested it he should get it first;) , and since I seconded it, well you get the picture;) ............since Joe has a gazillion albums we should just torture him and make him wait and post up how good it works and improves our soundstage and all that other stuff, ok Joe, I mean you do know now when I say ok what I mean, hehehehehe:D .

If some of the guys who are in come to the fest we can collect the funds here and get it ordered anybody else who wants in can send the dough down to the fest, we will do the ritual blood/in blood out signing. But we need to get it going and make sure this thing works as promised so the fest would be great, if it is just a booger and not worth it more than one of us can attest and ship it back within the 30 days.

Or if we are in a hurry I can just get it for the fest and we can try it out down here and you guys can pay me.

Just some suggestions to keep and get the ball rolling.

It doesn't matter to me how we do it. Just tell me where to send money. As for rotation, I'll let others have it first. It will be a few months until I have time to play with it anyway.

Flatten 'em!! Let's see now...just keep eating those Philly Cheesesteaks & plop your **** on it. That'll do the trick!!! Or better yet at the next 'fest we can have a sit-in & take turns plopping our buts on 'em. Funny I don't have that problem with my CD's!!! :D

    Mmmmmm. Cheesesteak. Mmmmmmmm

    I'm in for the Cheesesteak....Pat's or Geno's?:D

I might be in for the flattener too. Let me do some thinkin' on it.

    Hey Guys,

Thanks for thinking of me and my best interests. The platter I now have for the TT accepts the periphery ring clamp. Using this will allow me to flatten all but the most stubborn LP and will provide additional rotational mass where it’s needed most. I need to try this before I commit to any other means of flattening LPs. Also, with about 2500 (and expanding) LPs, I would need this full time in order to address all those problematic discs.

I like the number 12, what do you guys think? Total would be between 125-130 each, and each owner gets to play with it for a little less than a month, considering shipping time. Thoughts?

Twelve sounds good to me Ric. Perhaps we should take Ted up on his offer this will enable us to get a good look at it. Even if we start at 7 we can add the other 5 as we go.

I'm in for that, but I would like also to have a top limit. Not sure if 12, 15 or 20 at the most, but once we get there, no more "owners" would be allowed. I wouldn't like to be one of 30 owners, that including shipping time would leave us with a week or less using it.

I think 12 is a great number; one visit per month.

Talk about a perfect A/B scenerio. I'd start at Pat's then mozie across the street to Geno's. Must be well controlled, fried onions & whiz. I gotta stop typing, I'm getting hungry!! :)

Maybe we can get a Furutech rep to stop into the 'Fest. Have them demo it, or maybe we can get a discount if we post our results and give some reviews here on the Forum. Who wants to make a call?

I'm in for having it at the 'Fest. Let me know who needs my payment.:)

I hadn't thought of that. Joe could buy it and we just send him our LP's to flatten. That would be cheaper and easier for everyone.

12 sounds fine to me. I really think we should have the full list before buying it. Also, later anyone could sell their share for whatever amount they wanted, so long as the person they sold to was not a scumbag. :)
