    one more question, can i run 10 gauge sw to the front 3 and use a different gauge on the surrounds. (reason being I live in an apt so i have to run the wire along the edges.)

    Yes you can.

    And getting a separate amplifier will allow you to go louder & sound much better than your poor overworked receiver.

    Yes, and don't push it until you get that Sunfire! Beware that you are risking frying your AVR, and voice coils in your LSi's at high volumes.
