    My folks used to send me a Hawaian Macadamian nut cake every Christmas when I was in the Navy.

    Dam, that thing was good. One of the few things I wouldn't share.

    But ..... Macadamian nut ? Little did I realize back then the covert racism of my parents !

    If only I had known ...... I would have told them to send me a more politically correct fruitcake.

    I honestly do disdain fruitcakes. Who would put such a nasty concoction together, and then force it upon unwilling relatives, friends and immediate family? Grandmothers of the world are uniting, and destroying our digestive systems 1 fruitcake at a time, and we're sitting idly by, doing nothing about it.

    It's time to rise people. This Christmas, when Grandma Betty sends on the usual, stale fruitcake, throw that f#@$er right in the trash! Love your guts, not her fruit and nuts!!!!

    Tour sent me a Texas Pecan Cake from Collin Street Bakery (in Corsicana, TX)...which was basically a fruit cake...and it was good!

    Those are great! I found Collin St. because my grandmother (89) said she used to buy them 50 or so years ago when she lived in Texas. So we've ordered them the last couple years, and have to say they're pretty good.
