Nah they have had it released on torrents since last Tuesday, but I was to afraid to play it because of the M$ police. Same with Blue Dragon, release date of 8/28, but I know they have had it out since early last week some time.

BTW- the game is incredible, it took about 3 hours to finish the first level but I did a lot of hunting for money, EVE syringes and med kits.

Level two starts with another battle with an Adam. And that MF'er is hard to kill

What difficulty are you playing it on? How much larger is the actual level than the demo?

I am playing it on regular/medium difficulty. And sorry cheddar I have no clue on to how much larger it is than the demo because I never downloaded the demo.

    Thanks Avelanche,

I guess I'll find out myself soon enough. I usually like to try it on the hardest difficulty all the way through, but it sounds like the bosses are tough just on default...

Wow Krabby that all you got? FYI- I have 3 360's and have not had one die on me yet, and these boxes are used on a daily basis.

How's that over glorified, Hollywood abandoning Blu-Ray player treating you?

Oh yeah and tell Sony thanks for **** up the release of GTA4

Geez...I wasn't even bashing you..it was more of a joke than anything

    And I don't have or want a PS3...

I have a 360 along with the HD DVD addon...

Most MMORPGs have that. Kind of scary when you have a few months of your life invested in a game.

****, I don't want to know how much time I've played. Seriously, it would be depressing. It would send me into a shame spiral.

I don't think I'll get around to picking up the game until tomorrow. 5% chance I'll get it tonight. However, my wife goes out of town on Wednesday, so I full expect to get some serious game time in while she is gone.

i haven't really lended much time in quite awhile. tried to get back into it last weekend, but my wireless setup was giving me issues. and speaking of oblivion, i never even touched that stuff. i knew before-hand the time it would bleed from my life in order to play it.

Bioshock is definitely a 360 game I've been looking at ever since I first saw the trailers. The demo sealed it. Just have to figure out where I'm gonna get it from.

Apprarently the wide screen aspect for the game is fubared. Its essentially a chopped and stretched 4:3 ration.

I just completed the game no more than an hour ago and I honestly cannot complain about the aspect ratio although I have heard the game suffers from that issue. Absolutely excellent game.

    Finished already? Replay value?

The spin I've read is that the presentation given by widescreen is the intended one. The full screen 4:3 format is not the intended way, and it adds more image. So, the widescreen is the normal, and the 4:3 is a scrunched widescreen aspect, not the WS being a chopped 4:3.

Whatever. I just want to play an awesome game.

Can anyone confirm that the rest of the game has awesome amounts of bass?

There is an increible amount of bass with phenomenal sound design from beginning to end. In regards to replay value I would definitely play it again, I really love the style and type of atmosphere in the game. Found myself a couple times just standing there taking in the visuals.

Agreed. The sound effect mix and use of all channels is superb. Its hard to say for sure, but this is probably the best game ever for overall sound.

    3. Ammunition in vending machines....brilliant idea
