    There's a new train pulling out of Chicago. Chad Kuypers and his dad, Dale, of Ascendent Audio formed a new company last month. Their subs feature overbuilt DIY quality drivers in a variety of "large" sizes with more on the way. Word and physics state that the top 3 models will exceed the Ultra13 in SPL. The big boy, Conquest, is a ported 18" Monster, that will exceed 2 Ultras. The first units are shipping now...very reasonably priced.

    Not trying to change your direction, but for a huge space the Tower or Conquest might be a great solution. I'll try to get a listen when one ships to the Bay Area. Per Chad and Tom Nousaine, SQ is on par or exceeds anything on the market. That's a tough pill to swallow after hearing the Ultra13, Fathom and DD18, but I hope so for the consumer.
