My Hafler amp is (what I consider) a solid "beefy" amp. 20+ years old and doesnt miss a lick. Of corse it has a huge PS and giant caps. But has fuses for speaker output. I suppose the fuses are for shorting speakers or limited output, I'm not sure.
My newer HK 635 is also built like a tank.
The old saying still holds true today.
"Quality over quantity"
But it did always baffle me why, in similar rated amps, one would have a much different size fuse than the other.
