    I'm thinking this is the latest installment in the Ernest Goes to.... series.
    I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down.     That doesn't necessarily make it related to the movie. There are a few sites out there in contact with the producer and they've systematically debunked a lot of the crap out there claiming to be involved with the film.

    I happen to lean towards believing it's about The Parasite (the link you posted) or a movie about the Rapture, but that's all conjecture. Ruling out Godzilla was easy, since the rights are owned by another company and a guy until 2013.

    Either way, there's a world full of people looking for attention claiming to be things or people they aren't. This type of marketing is ripe for that.

    ParasiteMovie.com: Aside from the sad looking logo, badly cropped eyes from the Bad Robot logo and the countdown till the next Evan Haas message (which should be proof enough that the site is not legit), ParasiteMovie.com features a link to some free game website. If Paramount were running this website, they would not be trying to promote some lame badly designed online game website. It’s an obvious ploy to drive traffic to the game website. This site was also registered following the worldwide release of the movie trailer, on July 7th 2007.

    Remember, as of right now, the only official Cloverfield websites are 1-18-08.com and Slusho.jp.

    if its shot like the Blair Witch you can count me out. I almost couldn't make it through that movie, it gave me the worst headache of all time. It didn't help that the movie sucked as well, but the whole shaky camera thing is headache/vomit inducing for me.

    It's a shame, the Blair Witch concept could have been done really well, but the implmentation was horrible, and even though the movie was pretty successful I think the complaints scared people off of the idea. There's no reason you can't give a "first-hand" feel to a movie without it giving most of your audience motion sickness.

    OK - now when you go to that tossing games forum, there is a thread about Cloverfield where a bunch of new members are talking about Ethan Haas. Then they start quoting weird things like "whats the date there? Its 1-18-08 here." Then one posts "That is not dead which can eternal lie.
    And with strange aeons even death may die." That is a direct quote from Lovecraft's work talking about Cthulu. And there is this website - http://hisheir.blogspot.com/ -

    Stuff is popping up all over the place. I wonder how much is fake.

    I have a feeling that a lot of this stuff, especially the stuff on the forums, is a crock. Probably just random entries.

    I am intrigued about Cthulu possibility. Thats one of Lovecraft's creatures thats about the size of a mountain that just lays waste to the world!

    The guy in the Official Movie Trailer (the one before Transformers and the one at Apple) is wearing a Slusho t-shirt. A product that doesn't really exist.

    Me too. Im not sure why film makers these days think that the audience enjoys fast moving, vibrating camera shots. Bourne Ultimatum was so bad in some spots that the theaters shouldve required barf bags for the people that got sea sick.
