For the money I have invested in my 2-channel setup, I am completely happy. As far as my Home Theater setup goes, I don't have lots of time for critical movie watching so it all works for me there, too. I'm an electronics rep for various home A/V lines and my system is still pretty basic. Just because I can buy it dirt cheap doesn't mean I want to spend all my money on it! But I like it never the less.

I'm never 100% satisfied, but then again, I'm just getting started.

I thought I would never touch my HT, because 2 channel is my focus and my speakers / components for HT were adequate for my current setup.

But, if a good deal comes my way (like the B&K ST-1430, giving me matching power for my front soundstage) I still jump on it. Hell, I'm even thinking of getting a Ref 20 and moving to separates.

I am very pleased at this point, but I have noticed that following the long period of research and anticipation that I normally go through prior to acqiring a new component, once I have acquired the component, I repeat the cycle.

hmmmm..... I really NEED.... LSi15's (or maybe, as a stretch goal, some Von S. VR2's...this is Halo's fault)
My fault? The VR-2's belong to my brother, Greg.

If you want to take it further back blame Darla. Right after I borrowed a pair of LSi7's from SCompRacer I was contemplating picking up some LSi9's (7's didn't dig deep enough & I personally never cared for the 15's) when Darla dumped her all LSi set up in favor of an all Von Schweikert set up. This made me remember hearing the VR-1's & VR-4jr's at decibel audio. I didn't really want a bookshelf (I preffer a floorstander) so the VR-1 and the LSi9 were out. I couldn't afford a pair of VR-4jr's so I figured I'd split the difference with the VR-2's. The VR-2 was also the Absolute Sound "editor's best buy 2004" and is very "tweakable" to match your room's acoustics. You can add shot (or not), add or subtract polyfil, adjust the "ambience" driver, placement, toe-in, etc. I also liked the finishes that are available on the Von's. So I go to the 'gon, got lucky & found a good deal on a pair of VR-2's and, until I heard the Eros at Rich's, I was perfectly happy with them.

After hearing them again @ the PF (in a better set up than when I owned them - IMO) I realized how much potential they have for further enjoyment. I can not say enough good things about them and if I had the means for a 2nd rig I'd be all over the VR-2's.

As far as my current 2 channel :

After I've pretty much copied SComp's / Normanality's rig(s), I am, once again, perfectly happy. I might try some different tubes but I think all I really want is a spare set for the ModWright modified Sony & the VTL. I don't want or even feel a desire to change anything. It's all come together and I'm very happy with it. That may change down the road. Who knows what the future holds? I know better than to declare "I'm done". The HT is good for me but definitely has room for improvement / change.
    Audio: Polk S15 * Polk S35 * Polk S10 * SVS SB-1000 Pro
    HT: Samsung QN90B * Marantz NR1510 * Panasonic DMP-BDT220 * Roku Ultra LT * APC H10
