How many of you are content with your systems?

Hi,
I was just wondering how many of you are truly content with your systems. I know that there is always something better to upgrade to, but are any of you 100% happy with what you've got?
Ever since I bought my Definitive Tech BP10B's from Trey, I've felt completely happy with my system and 100% satisfied with it. Sometimes instead of constantly upgrading I donate to charity or do something else that would have gone to a new amp, interconnect, sub, etc.
So when is the point where we stop upgrading? For me it's now.
Just thinking...

for the time being, yes.I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

For my 2-channel system, I leave them the way they are for almost a year and a half, now, and I don't plan to upgrade them.
I am working (upgrade) on another HT/2-Channel for family room. -

I'm totally content with my 2-channel system. It sounds better than I imagined it could. The only upgrade I'm currently contemplating is a dedicated line.HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

I'm very happy with my setup.

I'm not there yet too many components need to be upgrade like speakers, amps, CDP, preamp..etc...:D

I am extremely happy with my system, but I have some sort of sick mind that always tries to make something good better. I know that the little things can add up to a big step. I don't know if I'll ever be "finished".Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
Thanks
Ben -
sick mind that's not afraid of trying to make things even better. Some times never being satisfied with staying put makes us step out of the box to make thing better. Keep going ben6270 we look forward to your progress reports.engtaz
I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
you know I always look at other things and I plan on buying more but I love my system and am happy with it. I just want to hear other things so I want to try everything. My plan in the next year is to get a nice Jolida tube integrated 50w per chan cause I want to try tubes. I wouldn't mind trying a pair of ribbon speakers as well. This is a hobby for me now so I dont think it will ever end. I was told unless you've heard and owned 10 sets of speakers you havent heard enough2 CHANNEL

Never. I'm picky and there is always room for improvement whether it be an upgrade, swap, tweak, treatment, power cord, cap, fuse, outlet......whatever.
I'm always content until I wake up, then it's back to work on the hobby.~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

I'm working on the wife for Fathers Day. It's a long shot but you never know. Trust me, as phenomenal as the 2001's are the 2003's are simply in a class all by themselves. I have yet to more impressed with any other speaker I've heard. And I've heard a lot of hi end & expensive speakers. I'm pretty close. The Totem mites are fabulous on anything except rock, so they will need a sub at some point.... the home theater setup is great except I need a better sub and in a year or so will upgrade to an HDMI 1.3 pre/pro. After that, I really don't see anything changing for a long time.My Iron Man training/charity blog.

My two channel system, besides a few small tweaks and changes I'd like to and need to make, I am very content. I like it very much and its going to be very similar for a relatively long time.
As for my HT, there is a lot I want to change. I enjoy it, but I want it to be much better. -

uuuuuhhhhhhhhh. kinda, just wish I could get out of this apartment so I can open her up. Would really like to get a tube amp around 100 watts+.

hmmmm..... I really NEED.... LSi15's (or maybe, as a stretch goal, some Von S. VR2's...this is Halo's fault), then a new sub for the HT and then a new CDP for the 2-channel, and then a new amp for the HT since I'm going to move the GFA-555 to 2-channel duty, and then and HD-DVD player......etc.... I really don't see an end to it......HT

If you buy something and you don't enjoy the experience, good or bad, you're in the wrong hobby. I've yet to be discontent. Happy Listening!CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

Nope, probably never be. I still need to replace some aging speakers. Lots more to do and tweak. Since I do so over time, I’ll always have old gear somewhere. I am VERY satisfied with my cars system. I’m more focused right now on creating the ultimate *control* of my media.
My media HT PC needs the most work right now. I need to get Vista Ultimate on it for the media functions. I'll end up needing a DX10 card for it. I'll eventually want to get a HDMI video card also.Testing

Yes. I'm not looking for anything. If something breaks or a killer deal "just happens" then I might change a piece of gear...but I am very satisfied with my rigs. The only thing I've added in over a year is a modded Sony SACD player....and it falls into that killer deal that just happened category."Just because youre offended doesnt mean youre right." - Ricky Gervais

I'm content with everything I have at this point. I still look for good deals on a few particular pieces. I'm not looking because I'm unhappy, just looking to mix things up a bit. I tend to keep the same stuff for a long, long time. I'm really enjoying my newely aquired SDA's. I have no complaints whatsoever. Well, perhaps one. With the gear I have it really shows weakness in some poor recordings. Overall the Lsi's were a bit more forgiving of poorer recordings (not nec. a good or bad thing)
As you move up the chain with your gear this is something one has to deal with.

I'm happy. If I do anything at this point, it'll just be to see what if. The HT is fine. The 2 channel(s) do their job quite adequately. I got no complaints. Big Daddy said it...
