This is Denon's integrated amp.

I just wanted to get people's thoughts on using this to push either LSi9's or LSi15's.

Thanks,
KG

I am a Denon fan but what are you paying. I would be looking in the 200 watt amps like Adcom, Outlaw Audio, Rotel and such. Denon makes great products but price per watt is usually high for their amps.

I love how music can brighten up a bad day.

this is not your average denon, it is a high current model. when i first got mine i was usind 2 harmon kardon citation 24 100 watt high current (i thought) amps bi-amping my paradigm studio 60's, this 80 watt denon blew them out the water. it sounds lika 200 watt amp, it's only weakness is the preamp section, get a tube preamp and this is a hard to beat combo. the 2000ivr is based on this denon series of amps:

go to www.audioreview.com and read the owner reviews of this amp.

I concur with Marvin. It's very conservatively rated. :)

Call me crazy but I am a sucker for the visuals of a unit :p. Besides the insides, this unit is very SEXY ;) on the outside. Black, not too many knobs, basic, etc.

I should also mention that I love products that are from US companies made in Japan :D

I have the PMA 2000IVR and from my experience it is very accurate. Drive power is amazing. Even though many people consider that the preamp could be better it much better than most receivers on the market today. It is sounds better than my adcom GTP-500II. I'm driving a pair of RTA 11T's in a bedroom system. Just be sure to have a sturdy rack, my 30yr. old particle board with glass door rack is cracking from the weight, 58lbs!

let me make it clear, when i say the preamp section is the denon's weakness i'm not saying the preamp section is bad. it's that it is not the most transparant and the soundstage is a little closed in, most of the integrateds under $1500 have this same problem. it would take a much more expensive integrated amp to best the denon.

I have no issues with it's pre-amp section whatsoever. My only complaint with it at all is that you can't use it's pre-outs/main ins at the same time, therefore effectively eliminating the ability for me to use it with any of my NHT active outboard crossovers. :(:o
