It never hurts to try new things, experience different electronics and speakers, etc. Just put the SDA's in the back room so you can always return home if you need to.

Nothing wrong with sticking with what you have.

    On the other hand...

You can always go back if you make a change and don't like it.

yes, wanting to change stuff is part of the hobby, not owning a pair of SDA is well, something I cannot ever envision. At least if you like Polk and if you don't, well, begs to ask what the heck. They are still the best speakers Polk ever made, well, to my ear. I agree with some of the others who question this stuff about change the SDA right off the top as not being great advice. As questioned...What is the rig not doing for you??? Has the present gear given the speakers all they can take and then left you unsatisfied?

I suppose its just my generational diversity with some that's bugging me. Older farts find something they like and stick with it, Newer farts move on quickly, neither right/wrong just different perspective's.

In the end do what makes you feel and hear the best, but since you asked I would change the gear and yea, Cary is new level.

I don't pay the light bills. The lights don't get turned on when I show. Gotta save that energy for what really counts.

Put that V-12 on those 2.3s and you'll likely not need an upgrage for a long while.

See that gap in my sig??? That's where the LSis were listed, before being sold.

I say we can spend money on dumber things (hookers and blow would make that list :p)

but enjoying what you have should be apart of it too. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I'm at a place where i'm pretty happy with what I got.

as happy as I am with my gear, I might try something down the road, I keep saying I want to try a passive pre, eh, I'll do it when I feel like it.

point is, some are going to chill with what they got, and some wont. it's just the name of the game

I agree with you here...The Nad integrated will be in my collection for a long time, as will my Carver gear....It may not be in use, but I won't sell it...I enjoy everything that I have at the moment, but i would really like to try a jolida tube cd player and maybe even a jolida tube integrated....In different systems most likely....I really want a pair of B&W 805s.....It is part of the hobby man, but I personally wouldn't sell a pair of SDA's if I had them.....I would hold on to those forever......Oh, what has this forum done to me!!?:D
