For sale... a unit that has served me well.

The preamp is 100% mint and I am very picky about describing gear. I could not find one mark on this unit in anyway.

Silver face, remote - manual, antenna, original packaging.

Manual is special addition with the typo "****" in it! ;) - JK, but its in there.

Anyways - money order only, CONUS only.

Hows 250 shipped (FIRM) sound?

STILL FOR SALE AS OF 04/08

$200 shipped is ludicris man. I would much rather keep the unit than make 180 bones off of it.

Thing can say hello to you when you turn it on. Limit the output for your family. Sounds fantastic, built very well. Far superior to units costing the amount you want it for.

I did, first Ive heard of your incident, but
not the reason for this thread.

Sure. Well, I was just thinking $200 because of the $50 I had sent ya, but if you can't do that, that's alright with me. I will consider $250.

As per the e-mail I sent you, I'm just trying to be careful...

I *might* want it. To a large extent I really want the unit, however something inside me is saying that I don't really need it. Food, books, other college expenses are also important to me right now.

Maybe it's just me but $250 shipped for this preamp is a killer deal, especially considering it was $700-$800 new...

My price is $250 dollars shipped to your door with factory packaging and aftermarket packaging.

Cleaned before shipment. Manual wrapped in plastic, remote dressed up...

Might even throw in a nice air freshener for the box.

    Have a nice day.

The reason I said OBO is I could not find any auction or previous sale for the PT5, therefore if you can find one and the price is significantly lower for a mint, factory box, manual, remote - etc - then I will lower my price to aforementioned sale.

To me, for $250 shipped, you would be hard pressed to beat this unit.

I usually watch B&K stuff on Ebay and Audiogon and these units, most of the time, go for around $350 to $450.

Damn. If it was just black instead of silver face!

Will this blend with my B&K 3140 power amp. Currently, I'm using yamaha rxv1400 as pre/pro. or does this pre-amp have a "bypass switch" like the adcom GFP 750. Thanks.

    350 to 450 shipped?

    Wow. Hmmm....

Yall are getting a better deal than I thought! LOL - I would of raised the price if I knew that. LOL ;)

This preamp does not have a bypass switch unfortunately. But it mates very well with other B&K pieces.

Too bad this preamp does not have any optical/coax inputs.

The other thing is that all my other gear is in black.

Still will consider it though...if it's not sold. 250 is a great deal!

I notice that this is actually a tuner/preamp. Is it AM/FM or FM only?
    Thanks, Phil

B & K is off their rocker if they think a loudness switch adds (or asses) clarity

Also, B&K says the loudness features asses clarity to the signal at LOW volumes. :)
