Shipping to me would be $$$$$ and a deal breaker.

Somebody closer, say within 200 miles should consider them though. I've read great reviews AND a local guy who bought some cubes plus a Pawn shop guy who had some for sale in the shop for $$$ said they were amazing little ORBs.

I bet that bidding goes well over where it is now at $350.00.

There is a audio reviewer on youtube that always has a pair of them in the background in his system.

I'd probably buy both and hope for a little $ break.

2 nice sets right there! That dome midrange on those Infinity's sounds sweet!

Those Emit tweets are nice as well IMO :#

Looks like someone went crazy with the Cheese-Wiz on that Peerless tweeter.

I believe it's caulk. :# Beginner caulking skills maybe. I'm glad my first experience with caulking was under the supervision of a PRO painter with tons of experience. :D

Nice, although I guess he doesn't know the difference between an amp and a pre-amp ;)

On a side note to these Sonys, the seller stated that these speakers were designed by an ex Polk engineer. Has anyone ever heard of this possible connection with Polk?

No but they are well regarded Sony speakers. At least one person here had them and raved about them.
They had stands as well I do believe.

Old post but just wanted to add that yes these were designed by ex polk engineer Dan Anagnos. I still have my ES SS M7's and have kept them longer than anything. It's rare for any of these to show up used now but if they do in good condition for a decent price someone should snag them. https://www.stereophile.com/floorloudspeakers/996esss/index.html

That's about how I have said I would build my own version of Monitor 7's, except I would also, as difficult as it might be, round over the front edge of the cabinet, especially at the top where the tweeter is. I almost have all the spare parts to build it.
