The speaker wire and plugging system of that power strip HAS to make an audiophile cringe.
I like the DYI system ALOT and just think how much better it would sound with the tweaks that are obviously needed as I mentioned. I forgot...those interconnects. They must have seen McIntosh's pictures of their museum from 10 years ago or so. We here on this forum, made comments about the picture of a 1.50 pr. of interconnects on one of their display tables between 2 units.

That collection ALMOST resembled what I had when I downsized 10 years ago. I've owned or still do about 70%+ of that hoard. I've been blessed to find a lot all over the place over the years. What I don't see in that hoard is POLK AUDIO speakers....??? If I had more space , I'd still have ALL of my hoard.. LOL.
I still have a lot of Polks and the ones I did sell, I've managed to replace them ..except monitor 7's with peerless. I wish I never sold those now.Most people just listen to music and watch movies. I EXPERIENCE them.

This guy lives about 30 miles south of me and I picked up a Dynaco integrated and tuner set with wood case a couple of years ago. He has a basement full, and i mean FULL of vintage gear. He has an electronics bench down there and checks everything out and makes minor repairs when needed. Prices are probably slightly lower than where the vintage market is at the moment. He will work with you some on price. Chances are if you're looking for something vintage he has it.

Paradigm Studio 40 v.2 pair in Austin for $275. I have these same speakers and they are amazing. A no-brainer at this price... Looks like the guy is also selling a nice Marantz Integrated Amp for a reasonable price as well.

Those Bostons are amd others of that series are very under rated. I was lucky to have some gave to me that needed refoamed. When they were done i played them and they blew me away. I couldn't imagin how stellar they would of been with an XO rebuild. Sealed design and like SDA's like to be close to the back wall.
