I thought about getting them, but I would have to get rid of my M7C's to have someplace to use them. And I don't know if my little Yamaha AVR would drive them as well as the 7's.

If you do try and get them I'd be interested in your 7's. :)

I will let you know. And keep you in mind if I ever decide to sell them. I like them, but get the itch to try something else and don't have the money or room to keep more than I can use at one time. They are in nice shape, wood cabinets with only some minor flaws and very nice grill covers. SL2500 tweeters which I think sound pretty good, but my hearing for highs is pretty weak.

We should do a get together of the people "Local to the Carolina's" and all bring something to listen to! LOL!

Here is a smoking hot rack local to central NJ: http://www.audiocircle.com/index.php?topic=127551.0

There is a story behind it for me. Erik had his Quadraspire rack for sale, and I agreed to buy it once this rack came in. As you can see, it did, it's stunning, but the wrong color. So basically, 1,800 for a rack that's would cost you 3,300 new, and weeks to create for you. I would buy it, but it's out of my budget.

I'm not the seller, so you'll deal with him, but I've been contacting him through e-mail regarding my initial purchase with him, and he seems like a great guy.

And he's overpriced IMHO..... Think you can buy them for 159 off newegg....

Tbh I won't buy monitors ever again unless they are at least 50% off. Otherwise youre better with the vintage monitors.

Yeah, I figured they were high when I "heard" they are Monitor 40. I like my vintage stuff, just curious about how the newer ones sound. Obviously, I don't get out much.

I already emailed saying I will take these. Is this as good a deal as I think it is? Assuming they are intact, of course.

    JBL 4312B for $50 and it's local

SRT system here in Denver. No idea if this is a good deal for what you get, just a very rare find regardless.

Local mom & pop stereo shop has now started selling used equipment, most of it is lower or mid range. They do, however, have a pair of Magnepan 1.6/QR speakers on consignment. I know nothing about Maggies, but know there's quite a following here.

They didn't pull them out or hook them up, but said they would. Apparently, the owner sold them once for $650 and the buyer returned them saying one didn't sound right. They, however, claim they both work and sound fine.

They told me they'd sell them for $400. I'd gladly help out if anyone wanted me to audition them or take some pictures for them. That seems like a killer deal if they are working. Like I said, I know nothing about these type speakers, but if someone is interested and told me what to look for, I could help out. Just PM me!
