I need to get my table situation squared away, and I might upgrade the Arcam cdp.

Whatever CDP is in a 2007 Porsche 911 turbo (could be Bose for all I care).

Oh...in the home... Some combination of Vienna Acoustics (speakers), McIntosh (amplification), Clearaudio (analog) and _____?_____ (CDP).

    This system.

Sure it has tons of top notch gear, but the best think about this system is the room it's in. Not only is it extremely functional, it's also very inviting.

    That's fairly easy.

    Revel Salon speakers
Pass Labs X series pre amp
Pass Labs X series Mono Block amps
    Levinson Dac
    Levinson Transport
    Nordost IC's
    Nordost Sp. Cables

Anyone have a spare 50-60K laying around. I'll cover the difference :p

Honestly just a pair of Totem Forests with a pair of Jolida Ja-1 (I think thats the model) monoblock amps. That would be good enough for me unless some radical new technology comes out in 20 years.

I just want the room. Seriously, a $2k system in that room vs a $20k system in the kinda rooms most of us have would be about the same. Once you've got the room, you can just rotate through all kindsa fun gear.

Hell, I'm having a great time w/ a 2 watt spud amp & some fostex full ranges in my crappy room and I bet that $300 setup would destroy 95% of our systems in a room like that.

Ok where did that expression come from? I have been around umpteen million years and that is the first I have heard that.

Uh...I will take the blond remote and be happy. Though I think at some point I would not be able to afford her maintenance. But not a bad way to die a pauper.
