With the exception of the addition of the DSW 400 sub this year, my system has been stable since Oct 2007 when I got my Sunfire prepro.

Now unless something dies or I come into a boatload of money for some Dynaudio 220s I'm all set.

I curse this place every time I log in... and was just fine with monitor 50's as mains. I have spent 5k in upgrades since I joined. Now I have 1.2TL's, LSi-15's for surrounds, a Yamaha Px-3 turntable and a Sunfire Cinema Grand Signature. Not to mention the home built SDA center.... I think the only piece of my rig that has not changed is my Yamaha RX-v861, and as soon as I can get a pre that has HDMI 1.3, that will be gone too.
The Gear... Carver "Statement" Mono-blocks, Mcintosh C2300 Arcam AVR20, Oppo UDP-203 4K Blu-ray player, Sony XBR70x850B 4k, Polk Audio Legend L800 with height modules, L400 Center Channel Polk audio AB800 "in-wall" surrounds. Marantz MM7025 stereo amp. Simaudio Moon 680d DSD

I have no idea what you guys are talking about. You have no idea how many PM's I get each month asking about my setup. I assume no responsibility for one's "upgradtitus". :D In all honestly, it flatters me every time I get a PM asking about my setup, makes me feel like I did something right in my choices. As far as gear purchases go, I'm done for a while, BUT, I am planning on doing some work to my HT room.

yeah Rob, keep showin' that jvc in your showcase...you dogg. Rob the dogg.

...but then you're just passing on the cycle as i know you keep a lookout on Sherard's gear. that sounded dirty!:p

What really hurt is when I scored a Pioneer SA-9800 on e-bay for $185 bucks (The ebay stars do not come into alignment that often) and it got damaged in shipping...while waiting on it I found a pair of Rt800i's.I guess I should be glad something put the stops to my mania - I live in a studio apartment for cryin out loud! I've hardly got room for the SDA's - and what the hell am I doing with FOUR turntables?!

If I could stop buying new projector's, I'd be ok. Geesh. Actually allot of my gear purchases were because of Rob. To name a few, second SVS sub, the Velodyne SMS-1, the Oppo and some others. It's kinda like we IM back and forth and decide on what we're buying. Then someone drops the coin and the next follows. Funny though.:D

Okay, I'll be the first. "Hi, my name is Rob and I have upgradetitus".:D Yes, Sherard and I are close brothers from another mother:D, we keep in close contact with one another as we speak everyday, neither one of us make a purchase decision usually without consulting the other. Just love how a brothers quick to point fingers at me though, if I remember correctly, "Hey Rob, I'm gonna send you my old HD1 so you can compair it to your Epson, after your done, if you like it we'll work out a fair price". Best purchase I've made for my H/T to date, Thanks brother!
Money Talks, Mine says Goodbye Rob!!!!
