Yes. DVD, DVD-Audio (DVD-A), CD, Super Audio CD (SACD), MP3 Playback.

I think they are around $800 new? Nice price for an awesome player!

OMG, great price! Glad I'm not selling my PE 59avi (here at least) or you'd be making me look bad.

Again, great price for what I'm sure is a great player, having owned the prior flagship 59avi for a couple years!!!!

It has better picture and sound quality. Denon players are missing something. Not to mention they break all the time

Thats why I picked my Pioneer Elite 47ai over a Denon 2900 a few years back. I was doing a demo back and forth and the Denon locked up three or four times doing it. They tried another 2900 that was on display, and it didn't do it as much, but still locked up once. Needless to say I went with the 47ai and have been happy since.

I agree with Dan and Jared comments on the reliability of Denon vs. Pioneer Elite DVD players. I have both, an older Denon DVD-3800 and Pioneer Elite DV-37. The Denon has died ungraceful dead about a year ago, the PE went into retirement mainly due to planned obsolescence, due to the arrival of Universal players crop. All in all, I am gun-shy of getting another Denon players due to this. When it works, it works wonderfully! One of the best, almost 3D Picture quality, better than the PEs. But, the nagging feeling that it will die unexpectedly takes away the fun of owning it.

Btw, any progress on the Universal HD player front?
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

My Denon DVD players have been as good or better that the Pannys I've owned. I have NEVER had a machine from either brand break...and I've had several of both. I would probably choose a Denon over a Panny of similar price and quality.

Great price here folks.....you guys are brain dead if you don't jump on this.
Picture quality is the best you will find short of the new HD players and as a stand alone SACD or redbook player it's outstanding. This is what I paid for my 59 avi.And I have no desire to upgrade, the PQ is near HD quality.
