Purchasing Jolida JD-100

Wanting to buy a new Jolida CDP,I've seen the adds on A'gon for modded units...I've done a search for e-tailers,the best price I can find so far is $849. shipped,for a stock unit.

Is this price "in line"? or is there a better place to buy?

I'm not opposed to buying used to save some coin,but,I want the Black faceplate version,and they are very scarce in the used market.

Thanks for any outlets you might have.

    $675 shipped on this used one.....add 3.5% for PayPal....no affiliation. Has the black face. It's been up for 34 days though so maybe it's gone and the guy just hasn't updated the ad?

    Underwood Hi-Fi used to sell them for under $800 shipped but their advertised prices are higher than that. You might send Wally an email and see what's the best price you can get...you may get a nice surprise.

    I have a modded JD-100 that I bought from Jeff Dorgay of TONEAudio. I would tell you to investigate what Underwood does for that model. I'm currently reviewing another product they mod, and the improvement IS noticeable.

    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    If that's legit that's an insane deal. Are those B stocks or something?:confused: And free shipping too. Damn you could resell it for more than that.

    I bought mine through Spearit Sound in Boston! It was $800 including shipping, black face plate. Nice people, good service. I was in Boston on business and took a side trip to the store. I was going to try to carry it on the plane with me back to Chicago, and they offered to ship it for me and let me know even if I bought in the store, but didn't leave with it, they didn't have to charge me sales tax.

    To be honest, I think rolling in a couple of decent tubes does more than the Underwood HiFi mods. I like the Ei Elite Gold pins.

    Well, it came in what appeared to be a sealed Jolida box with no visible or audible defects of any type, with serial numbers, warranty card, instruction manual.

    If its B stock, it is not identified as such. I suspect its grey market, but that's fine with me.

    Looks like Jolida is mass marketing. Search "Jolida" on the tivo site and you will see their whole line at great prices. These are equal to used prices.

    Maybe they're reducing inventory. At least I hope they are. It's time for Jolida to come out with a new line of products anyway. Their DVD player is outdated and their amps could use a makeover.

    Nice time for a whole Jolida system in my opinion. That 70W amp looks interesting. Too bad I'm on a tight budget right now.

    Hi Ricardo,
    I've just been informed by our distributor that the Jolida Vacuum Tube Compact Disc Player you ordered is sold out, but more are on the way. They are in the US but not through customs yet and will not ship for another week or two. If you'd prefer a refund just let us know and we'll begin the process for you.

    I recieved pretty much the same email as you did. They charged my card today so I'll give it two weeks ;)
