If anyone cares,
I'm leaving this forum due to the fact that Russ and TroyD make it unpostable.....(thats the nice way).

I'm sick of all the picking and bull.....I got better things to do then argue with them.

The rest of you guys are great and I wish all of you the best of luck with your systems.

As a final goodbye I will post my pics after I take them tomarrow of my system,House and the Trying to prove me wrong once again Dual mono nice little Rotel amp that I love to death.

I'm gonna try to find a new forum that is as good as this one was....minus Russ and TroyD.

    You know I've been sitting here thinking about this one and wondering how you guys got to this point. Maybe you should all go out to a titty bar, have some cold ones and come to the conclusion that you all like tittys and beer. Then shake hands and go home. I'd bet all the ripping would stop.

    Mantis (Dan) - I don't post often :o (my name may not even be familiar to you or the others.) I mainly lurk and learn, and often laugh out loud :lol:

    I like to hear people's diff. opinions on things, and have learned much on this forum :) - YOU - as well as others have helped me to learn, and continue to do so.
    There are also newbies trying to learn, and someone w/your knowledge can help them. stick around !

    Just think of some of the funny she-at you might miss out on :lol:

    I have some advice which I hope you will take constructively.

    If you really wanted to leave this forum, you could have simply - well - stopped posting, and stopped logging on and found something else to do with your time.

    The very fact that you announced you are leaving this forum is an indication you were anxiously looking for feedback from other posters to gauge your sense of worth (or lack thereof) to this forum community. I am quite certain you are checking this post frequently to see what others think of your decision, perhaps with the hopes that if enough of us express our regrets and support for you, and apologize where appropriate for ruffling your feathers, you will make a triumphant return and everything will be back to normal.

    The advice I have for you is to keep the importance of this forum where it belongs, and that should be pretty damn low on your priority list. You are surrounded by family and friends and co-workers who know you as a real flesh and blood person, and you profoundly affect their lives on a daily basis whether you consciously realize it or not.

    The only opinions we can form of each other, and the only value system we can attach to those opinions, are based on our posts. That is a wholly insufficient and completely imbalanced means by which you should allow yourself to be judged, or by which you should develop any sort of lasting and meaningful personal relationships.

    Consider this, if a poster in this forum were run over and killed by a truck today, the actual impact on your life would be completely insignificant. You could not say the same if it were your mother, or your girlfriend, or your best buddy, or even a beloved pet.

    Keep the importance of this forum in your life where it belongs - as a casual adjunct to a hobby. Don't attach so much value to it that you get all bent out of shape when posters disagree with you or give you a hard time, or others fail to see the merit in your statements.

    Have fun, post occasionally, and strive to invest more time and energy into those relationships in your life that really matter, and don't view this forum as an integral and indispensable part of your life, because it's just not - it's that simple.

    FIRST of all... I don't know the specifics of the mantis/russ/troyd relationship - I'm too new here. So my comments are general, not directed at them.

    I participate in some other (non audio/video) forums, so on the one hand I know how much of a pain in the **** it can be to have people mudslinging and always posting negative (especially personal) responses. But I also know the only way those types of posts can bother me is if I *let* them bother me.

    The very nature of audio and the equipment is subjective - the fact that Klipsch can be badmouthed here even as the company does very well is an easy example of that. People even argue here on whether one *Polk* is "better" than another. There are SO many factors that go into our opinions - honestly.. from how well our own ears function, to personal likes/dislikes, to room interactions... telling someone their opinion on the 'sound' of any particular item is *wrong* is almost untenable. I think we all recognize this to some degree. To tell them they're wrong and be a disrespectful **** about says more about you than it does their opinion.

    Most of you guys have spent more on your speakers than I have spent on my entire system.. so sometimes I realize a particular subject just isn't my domain.. but there are other times, regardless of what I own or you own, I know my **** inside out.. or I know that you know your **** inside out. But it all comes back to not so much what you say as *how* you say it...

    Also... there comes a time, I think, when before you hit that "submit reply" button, you should ask yourself "does this post *contribute* anything.. does it take the discussion further or ask a needed question?" Sure, we all raz and don't want to be too serious all the time.. but if you're bustin' someone's chops *just* to bust them, and that's it...

    I always liked this forum.I loved Polks all my life and will continue in the future with the Lsi line.

    I don't want to leave this forum but it makes it hard to want to post when people always are.......well I don't need to get into it.

    Anyways I took some Pic's of the system and the New Basement.Liv4fam lent me his camera and I just have 2 Install the software so I can upload.Then I got to figure out how to post my pics....anyone have an Idea?I know how form the internet but not from my computer.No copy and paste I take it.

    Ok guys I'm going out to dinner and a movie with Mrs Mantis..The kids are with my Mom....

    It's too bad to hear your leaving this great forum........however, your always welcome back anytime. Your experience with audio equipment is very high and your advice will be missed.

    I would have like to ask you many questions on the Lsi's and matching them with Rotel Pre/power amps(2 channel)......but at the present time I will not be upgrading(money) but in the near future I will probably do so.

    So I hope you do reconsider your decision and remain on this forum.

    Dan, watch your file-sizes, keep em under 1 meg, and use the 'Attach file' right above the 'submit reply'. You will need to browse your disk to find the files....
