Received the Versalab woodblock yesterday. FedEx did such a number on the package that the styrofoam peanuts were actually leaking out of it:eek:
But due to Russ's bomb-proof packing job, the unit was unscathed:)
Thanks a mil and I'll send a +1 to Shack.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore -

Russ I was wondering if you received my check yet?
Thanks,
Joe -
Sure did, yesterdays mail bro. I'm having a little 'packing party' this evening - I've got to finish some fence repairs before bad weather hits this afternoon. EVERYTHING owed to EVERYONE will go out the next 24-48 hours.
Cheers,

zombie boy 2000, how do you like your Versalab? I really like mine (Thanks, Russ). Anyway, if it does not work for you and want to get rid of it... Let me know.
-
I haven't had a chance to introduce it to the rig yet, but I'll let you know what I think as soon as I do.
Anything that can reduce RFI/EMI in my set-up already gets a big thumbs-up.I never had it like this where I grew up. Right on Brother! Thanks so much. . . I can't wait to get that old analog gem in my hands.

The Planetary Dial is just sick man, wicked cool. That, and the fact it looks like it just came out of the original box.

Now you are just torturing me!!!:D -
Russ, I received the boxes today. . . first off thank you, thank you, thank you for the Christmas present!!! Sonny Rollins!!!! My all time favorite instrument to listen to is the SAX, plus it is on vinyl!!! . . . Dude you made me day on an otherwise stressful day.
The tuner is BEAUTIFUL! I love it. I was so blown away how much better in the flesh it looks. I can't wait to hear it sucking in all those stations in Delaware.
I can't open up the subwoofer until I get back to the new house tomorrow so I'll hold off on the praise for that.
BTW excellent packing job. . . Russ you are the best Brother. . . I pray you and yours will have the most Happy, Merry, and Blessed Christmas.

Awesome. It's a virgin sealed copy by Prestige, and while not a heavy pressing, it should be a stellar recording and transfer. Consider that trade for the lead balloon story.
That Sansui tuna is a great, rare peice. As FM is starting to change with HD coming on strong, it will still be hella cool sitting on a shelf in a static display (what I was doing with it). It may very well be the cleanest tuna I've EVER had. Uncle Charlie had it in his collection for years, he sold it to me. Now it is yours. Enjoy.
The sub is what it is. From Polk's first attempt at a sub-sat 3pc system for music. Like I said, it is very tuneful, and will load up well in small rooms. Pair it with some small 89-91db monitors, place it against the wall somewhere between them, and you're good to go. I prefered the sound with the ports firing up into the room.

Awesome stuff Russ. . . I plan on using the sub with Surroundbar in my livingroom. . . that's the wife's room so I think she'll appreciate it big time.
I can't wait to get things fired up. Thanks again Bro! -
Thanks for the bonus stuff. The tape deck is beautiful and sounds wonderful.
Since I ended up not to taking the PSW 550, I think the sub is still available for sale.
