    It's wild.... and it's a beast!

    Man... it got hot REAL QUICK in class A mode.

    But man... what a sound...

    The Rotel 1090 was a significant step up from the 1070 amp, but this is another step just like that. Wow.

    Very nice very nice!

    Even the 1090 sounded like it had some grain.

    I couldnt tell the difference between the Classe CA400 dual mono, but I could tell the difference between the Plinius in Class A and the Rotel 1090, easy. First A/B and it was apparent which was the more superior amp.

    Hands down, worth every penny considering what the 1090 offers on the plate!

    What's that? A $6000 amp on a $9.99 Ikea table? You betcha!

    I aint upgrading the table for a while.. we have more work to do with the system! Next up, the preamp. After that, the Slimdevices Transporter.

    Then I graduate, go into residency and then I buy a decent audio rack/stand.

    First things first.... audio.

    I'll be back a little later with the full review/comparison.

    It's heavier than the Rotel 1090 for sure, I can feel the difference when I lifted them both.

    The Plinius is close to 100 pounds. :eek:

    It's nice to see someone get new gear against the grain, have fun.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    You do know that it's 100lbs right? I dont think I can hug it long enough before the heatsinks rip my arms apart and crush my feet as it drops to the floor. :(

    Have you ever had the chance to demo some Krell gear? I think you should read into them, maybe look for a local dealer. Krell Preamps are just awesome.
