I have no favorite team there, so I don't speak like a true sorry any type of fan. I always get my facts straight, and the batteries were Filthadelphia, America's armpit.

I would root for ANY team that was playing against the Eagles, to include one made up of child molesters, third world dictators, and Al-Qaeda guys. There's just something about a bunch of loser Cro-Mags from a losing city.............LOSING.

GARBAGE SCOWS and seagulls. Garbags scowels and seagulls is a Filthadelphiaism I would imagine.

Wow George!! You sure do have an axe to grind there. Whatever happened to you in Philly that can make you turn so rabbid??? Philly's just fine, no better or worse than any other big city. Maybe those toxic waste dump fumes over here in Jersey are getting to you. Bottom line is that Philly fans are just stone cold loyal all the way. Through thick & thin they perservere. Hopefully It'll be a good game & won't be over shadowed by all the T.O. B.S.

I don't know Joe, but I kinda remember a little bit of the snowball-and-battery launchings, and Santa abuse.
But that was after a long tailgate...

Hey Bill, the snowball thing with Santa (he was a very skinny scrawny Santa at that, the guy they hired to play Santa couldn’t make it) occurred in the 60s, I seem to remember the battery thing occurring in Denver or during one of the baseball rivalries. I think because of our rep we get the rap for that one. Boy I didn’t think people felt so harshly towards us like GG does. I love when Giant’s, Met’s, Jet’s, Redskin’s & Ravin’s fans come into town it makes for much more interesting games. The Dallas fan just cause agidda.

I had season tickets in section 752 in Vet (dead center goal posts) for years and there were some savage beasts up there. There was always fights and stuff flying. I remeber one time a guy threw a San Fran fan down 11 rows of full seats. It could get pretty ugly up there.

    Joe,

Didn't the fans throw ice at Jimmy Johnson and the Dallas bench? I remember this because it caused the half-time beer sales cut off :( .
I'm not sure if I was at that game...thinking 15 years ago? I'll be in South Philly Sunday around 12 noon - want me to bring the R15s?

I kind of hope Dallas gives the Eagles a pounding they'll never forget. I despise T.O., but Iggles fans deserve T.O's schvank in their mouths.

    Hey,
Us Iggles fan had enough of T.O. He's Dallas problem now.
I think Sunday is going to be a long and loud night. Fans will be in extra rare form.

A good friend of my brothers since high school, Joe Panos, used to play for the Eagles. The stories I have heard about the effin' fans there, unbelievable. He still talks about it. I know they're loyal to the Eagles as a franchise only and all, but class isn't a valid description of how they display it.

Yeah they walloped Jimmy, it actually messed up his hair. You are correct about the that incident (the straw that broke the camels back) causing the beer sales to stop during the second quarter. The problem there was everyone was three sheets to wind before they walked into the Vet plus all the booze hidden in parkas. I haven't been to the Linc yet is it still easy to get the hootch in?

Sunday at noon would be great Bill. Do you want to meet here? You have a PM.

    Thanks a million,
    Joe

No more sneaking beer in the stadium. Everyone used to hide a beer in each sock. Hell - sneak 2 beers in it saves you about $15! Plus like you said everybody is usually drunk when they walk/stagger in the stadium.

p.s. - i can meet Sunday just make it around 11:00 am because of traffic.

Yeah, I got a small axe to grind with the worst city in this country. Shittiest airport, no services, dumbest AND ugliest people in the U.S., The "Main Line" which is full of people thinking that Grace Kelly was the greatest thing that ever happened to the world and have been trying to look like her forever, somebody stop me. Other cities DESIGNATE areas to be used as dumps, as opposed to Filthy's totally freestyle concept. Mayor John Street. I can't stop. Sharif Street, the mayors Rastafarian looking rabble rouser son.

The guy they just made the movie about, Vince Papele or whatever the hell his name is, somehow or another got on a refueling mission with me in the early 80's.

Pearsall001, I've been traveling the world for 30 years. Filthy is far from world class, but you'd never know it if you listen to the dunderheads that reside there.

I love all three Dallas teams, Rangers, mavs, and cowboys. The Eagles look to be our only competition this year..unless the giants get it turned around. I expect the cowboys to beat the eagles and take control of the East. Cowboys have a great D as always...now with T.O. offense is GREAT.

IMO, what it comes down to is Dallas offensive lines ability to protect against a 7 man front, and give the passing game time to exploit the Eagles battered secondary.

Sure, the Eagles have a lot of sacks, but they have also given up a lot of passing yards.

I'm just sick of all the hoopla honestly, I wish someone would just say 'play ball'.

    My pick, 28-17 Dallas.

The worse part of all the hoopla is that TO's ego absolutelty adores attention and my fellow Eagles fans are going to defeat themselves by booing and heckling him all of which in TO's goofy head will be taken as applause and praise.

I've never met a Philly fan that didn't simultaneously exude unparalleled loyalty toward their team and "goon-like" qualities toward others....
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Unparallelled loyalty? They boo their own team more than any fan base I've ever seen! Every time the Eagles mess up they're instantly booed by THEIR OWN FANS!

Dont' know what kind of loyalty that is.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

    McNabb's ego isn't too far off T.O.'s.

But with that said, if you're a professional athlete, you need to have a strong ego. And there is a major difference in exuding confidence and being concieted.

Other folks just can't fathom the passion we have here for our teams. I'm just hoping for a great game & that the T.O. saga ends as soon as he catches his first pass & either Trotter or Dawkins smach him senseless. Oh boy it's gonna be nasty alright!!! From the editorial page of today's Filthadelphia Inquirer, the most widely circulated paper in the city. It addresses the fans, and their behavior. I will post VERBATIM, the good parts:

"Have fun. Cheer yourself hoarse to lift the boys in green. Boo yourself hoarse to make it clear to one T.O. that you resent how his unending selfishness blew up your Eagles previous season.
BUT keep this in mind: The nation's media will be watching this one, just dying for Filthadelphia fans to live down to their cliched rep.
Yep, that tired (but true) rap about snowballs at Santa, batteries at J.D.Drew, and cheering Michael Irvin's injury. Let's kill the cliche. Let's not give it new reason to arise.
There's a line between raucous fun and nasty boorishness; chugging brewskis all day seems to muddy some fans' grasp of where it sits.
SO, a few sober reminders: Boos are on the right side of the line; throwing hard objects on the field is on the wrong side. Funny signs are okay; lewd and crude messages aren't. Hooting at well-paid athletes who wear the Cowboys star is fine; MOCKING, HARASSING, AND JOSTLING 10-YEAR-OLD KIDS WHO DARE TO WEAR A DALLAS JERSEY IS NOT."

They don't even address the iceballs at the Dallas bench that you mentioned.

    Case rested, go Dallas.

Put him in a body bag, and let Terry Glenn put a few sixes on the board.

You need a secondary broham, plain and simple.

That was one hell of a game!!!! Even Dallas fans can hold their heads up after that one. Even a non Eagle/Cowboy fan had to enjoy that one. It kept you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Let me tell you I was about to call 911 at the end there until we made that interseption. All in all Philly really showed what a class town it really is. Everyone was waiting for a disaster to happen but it just never did. Not much for the media to talk about tomorrow except what a great game it was. Outsiders will never, never understand the passion Philly has for their teams. By far the best in the U.S. PERIOD!!!!!

Yo Krazy, it was a horrible finish only if you are a Dallas fan.

Bledsoe shot his mouth off too much about "if you're going to blitz, bring it on."

I don't rub salt in wounds, I learned that long long ago as the Cowboys through the 60s to the 80s used to eat the Eagles for Sunday breakfast and spit them out after lunch and I had local Dallas fans rubbing salt harshly.
