Let us not forget the The Iraq Liberation Act of 1998 (Public Law 105-338) [1] (codified in a note to 22 USCS § 2151) calling for regime change in Iraq. I know Clinton would say that this did not mean going to war, but how can one wait for Saddam to die and then wait out his two insane sons? As far as Iran goes don't forget the peanut farmers selling out the Shah and giving his tacit support to the indigenous revolution, that really worked to our advantage didn't it?The greatest enemy of truth is very often not the lie - deliberate, contrived and dishonest - but the myth - persistent, persuasive and unrealistic.
Blaming the prince of the fools should not blind anyone to the vast confederacy of fools that made him their prince. -

The lack of balls is this **** style of everything having to be politically correct. Everything has to be sugar coated and a nice cherry put on top of it. God forbid you call a spade a spade in this day and age, you'll get arrested or sued or have to pay reparations to someone or be called a bigot or racist or a religious right winger etc etc. Can't hurt anyone's feelings even if it is the truth.
Truth is what has been really assauted here not our rights. -
I've said it numerous times, so once more isn't going to hurt....POLITICAL CORRECTNESS IS RUINING OUR GREAT NATION!!!!"SOME PEOPLE CALL ME MAURICE,

AMEN Bro AMEN;)
That reminds me last year around Christmas parents of my neighbor stop'd by his house, I was working outside. They step'd out of their car and nicely said Happy Holidays, I said back it's Merry Christmas and you should SAY IT.

Gee thanks professor.
No one is saying people CAN'T say whatever they want, but just because you have the right to say something stupid doesn't mean someone doesn't have the same right in telling you you're a moron.
I love how every time an argument like this pops up there's always one person saying "I have the right to say whatever I want!!" as if someone was trying to silence them rather than argue with them.If you will it, dude, it is no dream. -

Just becuase we're not totally aware of what's being done in the background doesn't mean things that use to be still are......
Osama bin ladden declared it World War III. You are somewhat correct however we are not just attacking everyone in the name of protecting ourselves. The terrorists are attacking "everyone" with the intention of delivering a knock out blow to democracy by disruption and forcing their religious beliefs mixed with their politics on the free and non-Islamic world. -

Support the troops but not the ignorance. Everyone in the world except our admin. (not just the UN) said no WMD's. Why would Saddam posture as if he did for so many years? One word my friends, Iran!
Over 900 wmd have been found in Irag (as reported by Michael Medved on his radio show and website) albeit they were small versions of wmds but they are wmd non-the-less. This war turned out not to be about WMDs it turns out to be US fighting them over there. . . not over here. -

There was a group of liberals who organized a campaign against it and lost. Because TechTV was bought by G4 it seems that most of the old posts are gone. I am checking Leoville to see if I can find it. If you think the feds are leaving any rock unturned (except the one Osama is under:p) think again.

MacLeod wrote:The war in Iraq was NOT a preeptive strike; it was a RESUMPTION of action.
When we took them on in 91, the conditions of us not going into Iraq and flattening the place was the Saddam disarm and allow UN inspections. Those were the terms. He snubbed his nose at that agreement for 12 years while the UN, drunk with oil bribes, refused to act. So after 9/11 proved to us we could no longer allow threats like this to remain, we resumed the action that was agreed upon in the first Gulf War.
Those UN inspections were a success story.
So, despite the assertions from Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, and George Bush that we needed to go into Iraq to eliminate Saddam's imminent threat to the US from Saddam's Weapons of Mass Destruction, guess what:
There weren't any.
That's what the UN inspectors said.
That's what their documentation showed.
That's why when Colin Powell spoke before the UN in an attempt to get there support for a war in Iraq based on WMD's, they greeted his words with massive sceptism.
And rightfully so.

and it also seems that the US will say anything to get into one (see Iraq)
Now that i think about it.. maybe we should hold a public de-facing of this little number.. you know, to cleanse the evil of France from our soil..

There IS a difference between PC on the level of "Happy Holidays" vs. "Merry Christmas" and "Camel Jockey" vs. "(whatever nationality)." If you feel that being slanderous just because you're version of "truth" is what you can't see beyond is ok, you're wrong.
To say that PC in general is crap and is the flaw of this country is a farce. If saying Happy Hanukkah to be respectful of someone elses beliefs is compromising your "American spirit"(or whatever you want to call it) then you have a **** attitude to begin with.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -

I'm done with this converation one person reports WMDs, the Feds don't feel comfortable enough to report it and you would site it here. I'm done your veiws are right. Anyone who says that this war was wrong is wrong.
And one more thing terrorists always taking responsibilty for their work is false. The shoe bomber, and the UK bombers a month ago are two examples where the terrorist link came out in the investigation.
but before I leave this topic anyone who says that the war was unjustified is wrong. Bad planning and shortsightedness notwithstanding we had to do something. I never used "Camel Jockey". Slanderous??? My version of truth??? What WTF are YOU talking about???
Political correctness is a curse in this country and IT is a farce, it is pure kiss **** BS. I believe in saying Merry Christmas to my Christian friends and Happy Hanukkah to my Jewish friends. And up yours to the politically correct wimps who are afraid to offend everyone it's alwayss WAAAAAA with the politically correct "everyone's a winner" crowd. NEWS FLASH. . . there are winners and there are losers PERIOD!!! -
Joe, the first part was specifically to you, the rest in general......you're constant feeling of "personal attacks" really are over the top. You have every right to your opinion, but from what I've seen you seem to be victimized by everything........I could be reading that wrong, but you have an overly (IMO) emotional reaction to just about everything I've seen you post on as of late.........
EDIT: To clarify, because I'm sure I'll have to, I'm not saying it's wrong to have an emotionally vested interest in what you do or do not like, but the way you post, your reactions read to me as you feeling singled out by seemingly everything.comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -

NA! I'm just a type A personality / passionate guy, doctor says that is what is going to kill me. I gotta tell you I am a really grateful to be alive guy (long story) so I live each day to the best of my ability. I am one of those people who you really love or really hate. I'm used to it. I really do try not to purposely offend anyone but my manner is a little edgy and have been known to rub people the wrong way and not ever realize it. You should see how my wife perceives me at times!!! She loves me, most of the time. -
