Well 88c is cheap right now for gas.For a while we would pay 1.15$ a ltre. As for health care if free means waiting 4-7 months to see a specialist good then yeah I am happy:(

I hate putting premium in the Volvo :( it does run better though.

I even put plus in my pick up, because its what my Dad allways did, and it was his truck.

Check the owner's manual and put in whatever it says. Some cars run better with premium or plus, some run better with regular. Putting premium in a car designed to run regular is just as bad as putting regular in a car designed to run premium. Higher octane isn't necessarily "better" for every car.

Yeah, the part all the proponents of national healthcare refuse to acknowledge. If everyone has the same health care, we ALL go to the lowest common denominator.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I filled up today at 2.28 a gallon in south carolina. Gas prices seem to be dropping around 10 to 15 cents per week around here. Because I filled up last week at 2.39.

I would be happy if gas prices would get back to 1.99 a gallon and stay there for good. You know have a set price instead of letting the markets decide the crude oil prices.

I was in Delaware yesterday looking at a prospective house to buy filled up @ $2.54. When I got back home to Philly the Sunoco around the corner from my house was at $3.20. This is one of those stations that is always .20 higher than the Getty station 2 freekin blocks away and there are still imbiciles gasing up there. I guess they think Sunoco is better than Getty . . . fools.

On the same note, I've noticed that since I have been using gas with 10% ethanol in it my car has been running like pure SHi1. Is it my imagination or is this a fact of life.

One more thing, how the hell is the gas in Philly so much higher when the fu#K!ng oil refineries are literally less than a mile away???? We should be getting gas cheaper than anywhere inland correct???

Yep, well the greedy oil barons and opec are sqwaking about not slowing production at this point, but out comes a news report today about how oil companies don't want the price per barrel to fall below $60. God dammit let the market determine the price. Now they are lobbying opec to cut production. See those greedy **** know what we are willing to pay for gas and now they want to artifically set the price not to fall below $60 a barrel.

I so sick of this crap. Fianlly we some easing of prices and already they are trying to figure out a way to keep **** us. One last rant off topic, I have these beautiful garden ripe tomato's and I thought I'd make BLT's tonight. Stopped at the grocery store to pick up fresh baked bread, lettuce and bacon. WTF happened to the price of bacon. Oscar Mayer premium bacon was $6.49 a pound. Yikes!!! I bought the store brand for $4.19 a pound instead. I don't eat a lot of bacon so I was quite shocked to see it so high.

    OK
I'm done complaining, I gotta go make some BLT's. :D

Bacon is typically $2.50 / lb for the store brand in Philly. Yum garden tomatoes . . . Did you ever have New Jersey Beefsteak tomatoes? You can eat them like an apple or just make tomato sandwiches with a little mayo or better yet and couple leaves of fresh basil and extra virgin olive. . .see ya latter I gotta go eat!!!

Charleston consistently is rated as the cheapest gas in the country. The last survey I heard two weeks or so ago had Chucktown the cheapest. Couldn't tell you the price at the moment as my auto requires premium, so I just bite the bullet and try to stay away from Exxon. Drive to Polkfest and gas up!

And please, do not by gas from Citgo, run by that **** Hugo Chavez and his Venuzuelan dictatorship. Wish we'd send a cruise missle up his **** during one of his Fidel Castro and Iranian looney tune Love Fests.....

I have to use premium as well. Shell V-power 93 octane is what I prefer. Currently $2.89 gal. At one point I was paying $3.39 gal. I have 14.5 gallon tank so I'm saving about $8.00 on full fill up. I fill up about once every 8-10 days as I can only manage about 19 mpg in town.

The BLT's were worth the money for the bacon, but you can buy good beef for $6.49 a lb.

Ok I know this is beating a dead horse…..but I just have to vent.

Gas prices in 24 hours at a few local stations I pass to and from work (so very unscientific)

    Yesterday
    7:45 Am $2.66
    1:00 Pm $2.69
    5:30 Pm $2.63

    Today
    7:45 Am $2.71
    1:00 Pm $2.79
    Tonight I have no idea

WTF, how can the stations fluctuate prices that many times in a short period of time. It’s like playing Russian Roulette when getting gas. It’s extremely annoying and reeks of unfair business practices. I am so sick and tired of this crap.
