well i hooked it up and 10 minutes later i left to pick up my kids from school.. early release day, and i havent sat and listened seriously yet,.hence im not gonna lie and say, wow ive had 10 minutes or listen time and its a no brainer better then the outlaw :D

Its brighter then the outlaw, not overly like an adcom.. but it sparkles more on the top end. I have a 1080 for the mains coming soon and that will wake up the mains more and let me hook back up my lsi Fx's.. and also i have the new LsiC that hasnt been played since i got it for lack of an amp which i got today.. so it's alot of change and no time today for demo's and listening..

Like i said, i'll reserve reviews during or after the long weekend

It sounds great!! so far :)

well yesterday i did some music demo's with the new amp and although it has a lighter lower end then the outlaw.which makes the bass from the 8" er less over pronounced. and a touch brighter on the top end.. read, not harsh just more sparkle.. Its a very nice amp.. its kind of a moot point though because i'll have the 1080 for mains duty which is in all rights a tad better amp and more power to boot.. weighs the same as the 5x 1075.. and is 300 watts x2

havent spun any movies as of yet, that will come this weekend.. and with no sub it makes it all the more difficult to evaluate this system for HT.. however the 15's have some bass for ya.. and some moderate movies is plenty to fill in the low end.. not a svs replacment but good.

The rotel i was told by several sources wasnt so much an upgrade as a lateral move.. and of course a different sound.. I liked the outlaw and as such the Rotel shall stay.. Not night and day, but great so far :)

more to come, long weekend with plenty of demo time ahead

well looks like fed ex says the Rotel 1080 arrives this friday.. can not wait!

the 1080 im getting is newer and has the dual binding post so im going to do the bi-wire thing on both ends.amp and speakers. starting with redoing my bi-wire's i have now that are single on amp end and bi-wire on speaker end.. just need to order up some more shrink tube..

should be a nice weekend if fed ex follows through on time :D

and then its complete, then i need to start saving for another SVS.. gonna try the new micro sub for now and then get the bad boy first of the next year. along with a new GOOD Dvd player... its birthday time and the holidays are coming to eat all the extra gear money up.. so it will go on hold for a short time.. stay tuned,

    Hey Early,

Your right on the money there, i was content for several years with the HT and the level it was at.. and for the record it wasn't lacking at all to me..

Was simply time for a change and different level and experiance...

Now tomorrow i'll have one of the final pieces of this HT puzzle and im pumped.. I love getting new gear specially big amps.. :D

Now though, i need a new rack and am thinking of amp stand between the

I'm thinking of adding a rb1080 or just getting the rb1090 for my mains. I'm also looking at the new rmb1077 all digital amp. I'd like to get into the new technology but not if it's not going to perform as well. I'm going testing soon.

Good luck with the rb1080. I love that amp. It sounds fantastic.
