I have had more time to play around with these speakers and am definitely getting onto the SDA effect. I messed around with my placement a little more and there it was. I listened to The Doors "LA Woman" last night and several songs on that disc really shone with the SDA's. Another good disc was "Grand Illusion" by Styx, especially "Beyond These Castle Walls". I am really enjoying them so far.

My wife asked me what was going on with the older gear coming into the house lately. I bought some Monitor 10's in July and now these. I also ran across a Pioneer SX-780 receiver from the late 1970's Saturday that I am going to try with the 10's and SDA's to see how they sound with it. I have never cared much for older gear until recently and now it seems pretty cool.

Some vintage gear is worth owning, some isn't. Any receiver from Pioneer isn't.

I have been trying to justify that NAD in the FM. Maybe it is the ticket?

Assuming you are referring to the 7600, yes, it is the ticket. It is going on Ebay soon...It easily drove my large SRS's. It is built like a tank and sounds awesome. I always used it as a stand alone piece, but an added 2200 amp in biamped mode would really wake up your speaks. You get a receiver built as close as possible to seperates, (using the top of the line parts from the heyday of NAD design) that one can buy for $400.00 and more than enough power to fill a large room. And, it has a ton of headroom for dynamic peaks.
