    Wow.

I logged in to find that I'm overwhelmed with PMs and posts here. I think this goes to show the true character of this forum.

    You guys (and gals) ROCK!

    My mind is blown...

Okay, I've finally made my way through all the PMs and posts here. At this point, I should have responses out to everyone.

However, if you're intending to make a donation and have not heard back from me or are not sure how to proceed, please PM me.

My time on here tomorrow will be sporatic, but I will check in when I can. I just emptied my PM box, so should have enough bandwidth to get me by until tomorrow night.

    Thanks,
    Danny

I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Paypal-ed a donation a few minutes ago. In my opinion, it's not important for the family to know my name, but to know the amount of people and total dollar amount that was donated.

This should give them a warm feeling that he had a sort of "family" out here that enjoyed his company and are saddened by his passing.

I know Danny will do the right thing though! Very good of you to handle this!
    No excuses!

    UPDATE - PLEASE READ

OK all caught up again, so noe one should be waiting on me for anything - PM me if you are.

I've been keeping a spreadsheet of who posted here and the few that have messaged me privately. On that I'm keeping a record of who I've PMd, who's responded back, $$ and method of donation, and a donation received indicator.

It's a good thing I did, because the response here and via PMs has been overwhelming. Even those who don't have much to donate are throwing in 5 or 10 bucks to help out.

As of right now, I've got 51 people listed, and to my knowledge, I've PMd everyone that's posted here or contacted me. I either have actual funds received or commitments from 42 of you already.

I'll be contacting the other 9 privately to follow up. Please don't take offense or feel like I'm pestering, it's just my way of keeping up with all this and making sure that I didn't miss a PM or something from one of you along the way. Hell, you may have responded and I responded back to you, but if so it didn't get logged on my spreadsheet - and working from that is the only way I can keep all this straight.

So far we have raised a little over $800!! I supposed in the grand scheme of things, that's not a lot for the SPCA. But coming from a bunch of nerds on an online forum, I'd say that's pretty damn good, and certainly more than I expected we'd have.

We're doing a good thing, and I'm proud to be a part of it.
