Hmmm, 24/7 pump run at $50 per month. I don't think so, I know my pump takes 9 to 10 amps to run at 240vac so my estimate is 14.2kw per day or about $1.50 a day... This is at 6hr pump running a day.

Steve we put the meter on it and did the math. Thanks to TVA my power is pretty cheap. My average electric bill (heat pump - electric water heater, stove NO GAS) is less than $200 a month.

From what I'm hearing locally from pool owner friends, 30-45 dollar increase in electric, not bad at all. I plan on running the pump about 8hrs daily (summer) 6hrs (winter).

    Thanks Steve,

But your $200 a month electric is making me feel I need to move from Florida.... I don't like my electric bill.
