to the Damascus Disneyworld. Sorry.
The radiological half life of plutonium is about 24,000 years and the biological half life is about 20 years for liver and 50 years for skeleton. The effective half life of plutonium deposited in the liver is 20 years and 50 years for plutonium deposited in the skeleton. Plutonium deposited in the gonadal tissue is assumed to be permanently retained.
So please ! Keep your arms and hands inside the rides at all times and do NOT deposit any plutonium particles in the gonadal tissues !
Great post back there, btw. (re: marine/sailor).Sal Palooza -

I do not want plutonium in my gonads, it might not mix well with the iron.Skynut

While not my idea of a field trip, the trinity site is now a tourist attraction only a half century after the first a-bomb test.
<img src="http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/trinity/art/trinity_site.jpg"></img>
That's the bomb's exact detonation location at the obelisk. All they had to do was bulldoze away the glass. -

Uhm.....Brett..... are you referring to to PhantomOG's posted link ?
.....I thought we could talk about squirrels. Maybe not singing squirrels ?
I'm not ashamed to say, ...... I like singing squirrels !Sal Palooza -
pssst.....he's talking about "No talk about politics"
Oh, .....
Actually, I think the bread and butter aspect of politics has been avoided quite nicely.
No, "Bush is Satan", or "Barbara Boxer bites".
Now, can discussion of the Middle East be considered political ? Well, yeah.
Going to the corner store for a gallon of milk can be, also.
Although I can't say I've changed my mind on anything (no 180 degree turns), a number of posts have been definite food for thought .
If nothing else, how many of you knew that plutonium deposited in the gonadal tissue is assumed to be permanently retained ?Sal Palooza -
who the **** said anything about me changing minds? i'm just wondering and tracking whether or not this in fact does turn into WWIII. and if so, will it somehow reach our soil. possibly, by way of terrorist attacks.

Life on the homefront has returned to normal it appears.
No more rationing (as evidenced by Demiurge's consumption of bacon-by-the-pound).
Gas below $3 a gallon.
Yes, life is good once again.
So, to quote Firesign Theater, we're bringing the boys back home.
