I'll make my usual plea for everyone to avoid Quicktime altogether :

    - first download Media Player Classic. It'll play almost any media file.
    - Then install the Quicktime Alternative codec.

Voila. A fast, uncluttered, free and complete media player.
If you will it, dude, it is no dream.

I'm interested how they integrate Venom from the comic book "Secret Wars" saga.

The Venom character does not appear in this trailer. Peter Parker wears two different costumes in the trailer: the original red and blue and a new black costume.

From the comics, the black costume is actually a living, thinking, shape-shifting telepathic alien that Spiderman encountered on another planet, although, at the time, he thought the black material was mearly an advanced type of "wonder fabric" that was responsive to mental commands. The alien was not limited to the color black, it could appear as whatever color or shape Parker wished, even as regular street clothing. When Peter Parker/Spiderman found out the true nature of the alien and that it was attempting to permanently bond with him, he had it forcibly removed by Reed Richards of the Fantastic Four.

The alien (called the "symbiot" in the comics) escaped from its confinement at the Fantastic Four headquarters building and found his way to a fellow named Eddie Brock. Brock was a run-of-the-mill reporter for a rival newspaper who had one of his stories discredited by Peter Parker. This resulted in Brock's firing and in the end of his "legitimate" journalism career. Brock blamed Peter Parker for ruining his journalism career and developed an intense hatred of him. The symbiot, who also hated Parker for rejecting it, detected Brock's thoughts and feelings towards Parker and permanently bonded with Brock, thus creating the creature called "Venom". The alien was able to telepathically implant the knowledge of Spiderman's secret identity into Brock's brain, which made for some interesting stories.

I am a recovering/reformed comic book nerd. I sold my extensive collection (for a handsome sum) in 1992. I will admit to the occasional graphic novel relapse.

Should be good. The Spiderman series has yet to disappoint. Hopefully it doesn't become an XMEN3.
