    What the hell are those?

Those are Sound Lab electrostatic speakers. Damn near impossible to drive properly. They will eat all those Mac amps have to offer and probably still shut them down. I know of only one set of ugly a$$ tube mono blocks that will drive them properly, Wolcotts.

Early evening with a new foal at friend's Arabian Farm back in '02. This thing was just like a big dog and would rear up and try to kick at you. Little #$*&r. (the horse)

FWIW -- I've always been told to keep one's thumb tucked in when offering food to a horse -- else the equine might mistake the thumb for a nom. :#

Horses kind of make me nervous. They're rather large, and rather heavy, and rather strong. And rather unpredictable. And, yes, they can kick.

Several of our neighbors have horses. Note that one of these is rather larger than the other -- and the third is rather more goat-esque than the other two. B)

I wonder how long it took to get these aligned. Someone's OCD must have been on over-load.

There's a whole lot of improvement that can be gained with an upgrade there including wiring.

Yeah it's actually amazing these speakers sound as good as they do with those crossovers. It's almost like "if it works don't mess with it", but yeah clearly there's some room for improvement there, but to what end? These are only $1k/pair speakers.
