Those were barrel dumps, not concrete. When you look at the buildings in your downtown area, rest assured a few missing people are likely preserved underneath. They won't be floating to the top anytime soon.

Jimmy Hoffa's probably under some elementary school in the Dee-troit (or is it Detwah?) suburbs.

That framed photograph of The Brooklyn Bridge really ties the room together, does it not? -
Makes it pop.

Tom~ In search of accurate reproduction of music. Real sound is my reference and while perfection may not be attainable? If I chase it, I might just catch excellence. ~ -

looks like my grandmas living room...EVERYTHING was covered in plastic...summer sweaty seats...............

Yours too huh? Yep at some point in the late 60's early 70's that was all the rage.
-
I never understood that. You buy something nice (obviously not THAT furniture) and cover it with plastic, basically rendering it useless, uncomfortable and ugly for the entire time you own it.
Then you sell it in pristine condition at a whole lot less than what you paid for it and the next person uses it like normal, getting all of your money's worth out of it.
I just.....well, I fail to see the logic in that.

Logic is often elusive.
Not to mention that Western logic is kinda different than Eastern logic.
(and I'm not talkin' California vs. New York...)

Sometimes my references may be a little obtuse ?
....obscure...?.....vague?....fall into the category of "WTF are you talking about ?.....so here's some clarification......which nobody probably needs but still.....this'll keep me out of court so....

First off, Viking, I think it's simply darling what you've done with that room.
It's downright dee...lish..ous !
Secondly, it's nice to see that that online correspondence course in interior decorating is paying off so well ! 🤗

For anyone else interested in this exciting field take note;
Everyone is welcome ! 👍🎉
Architects, Housewives, and Interior Trades People (Plumbers?), come one, come all, Vikings too.👍
A very diverse, inclusive, and equitable field. 🥳😘
.....okay, that's all I've got....I've run out of "WTH are you on about now ?!" for the week
