<typical mrh egocentric aside follows> When this house was being designed, we took measurements of furniture that would be moved into it and discovered that one wall area in the dining room (next to the open entryway into the living room) was a little too narrow to accommodate the sideboard that had to go there. So... we had to ask the architect to move things around a little bit (which he happily did). It was one of the more "conspiciously consumptive" things we've ever done (at least relative to my sensitivities).</aside>
