This is a picture of a church in Asheville, NC. The sky WAS that blue...no color enhancement.
Absolutely beautiful blue!!!
I quit smoking cigarettes too, that also means anything that can be smoked. I love a good cigar but I'm afraid if I start smoking them the cigarettes will be right behind. -
Ive alwyas been an Arturo Fuente man! Back in the Cigar crazy days me and my firend actually paid $90 each for the OpusX in Vegas... lol. Kills me that I could buy them for $13 10 years later.
Haha, HOLY CRAP. You were, what we liked to call, suckas.
Actually, we were all suckas during the height of the cigar boom. Absolute trash was selling for 8-10$ a stick. I saw more "Don Nobody" brands come and go in 2 years than I ever have before or since.
Honestly, the Opus is great and all, and obviously tough to come by, but I (obviously) don't think its the best premo out there.
Have you tried the Sungrowns from Fuente? Excellent, medium bodied smoke with a good after taste, well aged tobacco, and prices from 4.50 to 8.95.
If you haven't tried a regular Padron, you should. 4-7$, incredibly consistent, probably the best bang for the buck cigar in the world for me.
Smoked a Cuban Partagas Serie D #4 (the robusto) Sunday AND a Bolivar Corona. I have to say it was a good day
We should start a cigar thread....
edit: And I hear it ex-cigarette smokers. I was a heavy smoker for 10+ years and then quit about 3 1/2 years ago. Cigars are my "treat that took the place of my habit." I have 1-3 per weekend, and if I don't have any for a month straight Im fine with it. Good choice in the end though; if you think its going to lead you back to evil cigarettes then don't do it!!!2007 Club Polk Football Pool Champ

I took this picture of a thunderstorm last night, before the fireworks.
I didn't think much about it when I took it, but now I'm liking it. What do you think? -
That is awesome!!! Perfect timing.

No kidding ? I imagine he's seen some stuff on that show; I will occassionaly watch one of their infomercials, and am amused at the callers who call in with their "testimonials" on whatever product is being sold.
"So, Betty from Poughkeepsie, how long have you been using Dr. Podunk's
Medicated Anal Creme ?"
"Well, Leslie, for about 2 weeks now, and let me tell you .... my ****

Funny thing, I was talking to my son last night and asked him about that show again. . . turns out he didn't shoot it but edited the clips to make it more presentable as one of the "few" QVC bloopers.
And you are right those friggin testimonials are hilarious. . .I just can't see me calling a QVC show to appear on the air to tout anything.
BTW Where can I get that **** repair crean anyway? -
I was out of town and didn't get to post this, but happy birthday America.

Cinque Terra on the walk from Monterossa to Rio Maggiore (I think)There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin -
