Remember some of the station wagon's rear facing 3rd seat? That was always weird riding in them especially on a long drive.
Also remember riding in my Dad's car with my mother with both of them smoking with the windows rolled up. It looked like fog in air in the car's interior. Probably why I never picked up the smoking habit.
It was always a treat to get to put the rear facing seat up and be able to play back there.

EDIT: Driving 75mph in a 1955-1965 US automobile with bias-ply tires on a narrow brick two-lane highway with no shoulders, at night, in the rain! (Slightly exaggerated for comic effect).
Seriously, this was very dangerous.
When I was 9,my parents took us cross country to the west coast. I was the youngest, and fit up there very nicely. I spent many miles riding like that.See my profile for list of gear. -

that's so cute a trick-or-treat onboard with the shipment!
The one thing I miss about teaching my course on-campus in Boston this semester is not being able to share Halloween treats with the students the week before (i.e., yesterday).

I feel dumb and I'm sure it will seem obvious when it's explained but I don't get it.afterburnt wrote: »They didn't speak a word of English, they were from South Carolina.
