Our Winter Daises are radio-active this year. The Hurricane season didn't destroy them this year. The rainfall must've been right too. I'm sure this species is beautiful wherever they are this year.

Some of ours are over 8" tall this year. :o The butterflies and bees are LOVING them!

These are claimed to be "Summer's Last Hurrah" bloomers. <3

There's a few that I couldn't believe were up in the high numbers.

    #98, 85, 51, 49, 37, should be better placed. ;)

Well Mr Coywolf decided to visit Verb's backyard! Our son sighted him, quickly grabbed Walter and brought him inside!

I went outside and I tell ya, this guy was not skiddish at all! It actually ran past me, realized his buddies were probably in the other direction of him, decided to turn around and run right past me (about 50ft away)!

Magnificent animal, and looks well fed (Walter notwithstanding)! :)

Not really, but the Red Run river behind us extends for miles all the way to Lake Saint Clair. It's used as an overflow along the way for communities to manage the water collection. During the dry summer, less than a 2 feet of water flows through it, but in heavy rains it can climb over 20ft!

Lot's of wildlife traverse back and forth. There's a lot of protected land all along the banks, and it's quite the habitat! Lot's of deer, almost every day we see some. I've seen foxes, even turtles along the banks. Wild turkeys, geese, and hawks flying overhead. I've heard over the years that neighbors have seen the coywolves, but this was a first for me!

Yeah there are a few I don't recognize. The John Travolta song was pretty horrible. As was often done in the 70's they tried to capitalize on Travolta's popularity from Welcome Back, Kotter.

As for the George Benson tune I'm pretty sure it was This Masquerade, as On Broadway didn't come out until '78.

Looks like an ordinary coyote to me. Big male. Probably 40-45 lbs. They are great at keeping the feral cat population down but often will take domestic dogs when in packs. I had a female red nosed pit that they thought about making a meal out of until she grabbed one by the neck with Mike Tyson speed and body slammed him to the ground. The others were like "F**K That! I'm outa here!" and ran away. I miss that dog.
