@stangman67 's next 2-wheeled project will be built to accommodate one of those. Estimated 46,326 rear wheel horsepower. Wheelie bars 30ft long, shortened from 35ft in his prototype, making it more parking lot friendly for jaunts to the grocery for bread and beer. He also claims this will be quieter than that of his current build.I disabled signatures. -
Saw this posted overnight in a three-hundred-forty-five page thread at ASR titled Can anyone explain the vinyl Renaissance?
I mean, no. I can't explain it. The signal to noise ratio of vinyl playback is like four or five orders of magnitude worse than digital -- so who knows what the other 344 pages are for?

^^^ lolol
It's funnier when you realize you're shouting it out in your mind as you're reading. Even better if you've zoomed in as you scroll, because then you don't know what's coming, sort of the ott-20s version of a teacher sitting up at the opaque projector moving a piece of paper down a transparency of something clever.

Remember that song Too Much Time on My Hands?
Someone at Hifihaven.org posted the photo of a billboard that caught his eye somewhere in the wilds of Indiana.
Which immediately got me to thinking about a sixties psychedelic band...
Yes, it would have to be, live from PBS...
The Bob Ross Experience.
Thanks, I'll throw myself out.

Norm! I wonder how heβs doing.

I was about to write " somewhere in Florida" when I zoomed in on the plate....

Who's Bob Ross?

I haven't fact checked this quote, but regardless, I think it is very poignant.
That is electronic signature material IMO."This may not matter to you, but it does to me for various reasons, many of them illogical or irrational, but the vinyl hobby is not really logical or rational..." - member on Vinyl Engine

An audiophile is a person who has great interest in High Fidelity audio reproduction.
This can include but is not limited to music collections, gear, optimization, analness and more but mainly involves listening to the very best of musical reproduction that one can afford.
Alan is correct with some audiophiles but that statement does many an audiophile injustice and presents an unjustified judging that is simply not true.
If one wanted to listen to the gear, that is their prerogative but I personally listen to the music, trying to extract every ounce of a High Fidelity reproductive effort out of said music possible.
However it's possible...
