It just sucked. Wasnt any real point to the entire movie, much less the ending.

She is not dead, she is still stuck in Silent Hill. Alessa is now a part of Sharon, and she is keeping Rose in misty silent hill, one of three levels of the town. This makes alot more sense in the game, as does the sudden shifts between dark silent hill and misty silent hill.

You appreciate this movie more if you play the games, albiet the games are much better. They take many of the angles from the games, the street layout is very similar, and even the darkside looks quite close. Of course the plot was not as good as the games, which was frustrating for me because I love the plots of all three of the games (have yet to play the 4th, but hear it is qutie different then the others).

    Thank YOU!!!!
Great movie - best game to movie to date. Next to Resident Evils but i'm sure non-gamers had a hard time getting them.
    Now bring on Parasite EVE!!!!!!!

Luckily, we all know what crappy taste in movies Sid has so we dont pay too much attention to what he likes or dislikes! :D

The game was awesome and this did a pretty good job of staying true to the game. I liked it a lot.

Parasite Eve??! Effing hell yeah!!! PE 2 was my favorite. Other than Doom and Final Doom, PE2 is about the only Playstation 1 game I still play on a regular basis.....well that and Syphon Filter. That would make a pretty cool movie but it could also be loused up pretty easy tho. Still, Id love to see movie made out of it!

Just saw it. Interesting for sure. I have never played the game, and so I wasn't sure if she was dead or what. I knew something was up when it was all misty still. Misty Silent Hill. Makes sense... sorta. And I knew Alessa girl was in Shanon.. maybe they'll make a sequel? I'd watch it!

Well worth the rent. Very twisted plot, unique special effects, and cool bad guys. I liked it!

Not gonna make you jump outta your skin or anything, but it's not really that type of horror movie... more adventure horror. If you like that genre, rent this one!

    7 outta 10 here.

PS: What is the other level of Silent Hill? Dark, Misty and what?

When the air raid siren goes off everything is burned and bloody. Very creepy looking on the game. The PS1 version was the one I thought was the creepiest.

It wasn't that it was so scary... but creepy. I was creeped out at parts. How could you not be? Barb wire flying into you from a burned victims bed.. darkness envolpeing you until you see burning bodies rushing toward you... faceless nurses in hoardes... yes it was creepy.

Besides, everyone has their own taste in flicks. I personally want to see this one again. And that little girl was very creepy. Reminded me of the girl in F.E.A.R (Video Game)

well stop knowing it all, and letting people decide for them selves.. Kinda like how the rti70 bashing started with you.. It just gets tireing.. or the cars you don't like or the undercover cops you don't like.. see where this is going,

we did watch the movie, and we did like it.. had a weird ending, was creepy throughout and generally kept you in suspense and wonder .. took alittle bit to figure out the whole deal with silent hill , then once you "got it" it all made sense..

    Good watch,

    I dont know anything.

The cop car thread was just a rant that you guys turned around on me and said you are an idiot. Which is basically making you and everyone else in general a hypocrit in the end. My opinion, entitled to it? It gets tiring Faster. I mean, I got a headache from it.

The RTi70 thing is sooo old and Im still overly dissapointed by that purchase. I probally wont get over being bent over the rear by Polk on that one. (And I'll probally never buy a Polk product again because of it) Im glad people enjoy them. But I definitely wont forget those speakers any time soon.

As for this thread, this movie was just like the RTi70. Bent over the table and robbed of my time and money. Im glad you enjoyed it. Congratulations.

And I do see where this is going. Its going South... down hill, to the crapper.

But I'm sure like 50% of your post, you are going to keep replying... I'm going to keep replying and in the end. I'm going to dislike you even more than the last post and maybe in the end, we'll hug - you'll ask me about building an amp case then dissapear and then you'll get Troy and the rest to gang up on you. Sounds fun. I'm game. You?

    Oh boo hoo Faster.

    Give me a freakin break.

Thats the biggest load of BS Ive ever read in my life. I have an opinion on unmarked cop cars (and the way people drive), a movie, and some lil ol speakers next door... and now I'm an over-opinionated, smart mouthed brat.

Thats the best post I've ever read on this forum. Just so you know. Grow some skin dude.

For what it's worth... this has to be the most faithful video game to movie adaptation by far.

I think a previous post mentioned that even all the camera angles were taken directly from the game and this is true.

Honestly, if you're a fan of the series -- you'll eat this up (and I did). However, if you never played the games, I can see how it would seem like a spectacular mess.

Definitely a niche for this one.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

what didn't you like about it? not questioning ya, just wondering.. was alittle slow at first for me.. but then got into it..

So this movie is based off a video game......I haven't seriously played a video game since the early 80's. I'm not a gamer so that's probably why I did not like it. At times I felt like I was watching one of those Stephen King made for television movies. When the chick pulled that old, old, ancient flashlight out of the drawer and it worked I jumped up and shouted " Holly sh@t! The flashlight works!

The motorcycle cop/chick was smokin' hot......Even before they bbq'ed her butt.

I'm not a gamer and never was, havent played the game and liked it.. However i said the same thing, how in the hell did that flashlight work, yeah right.. and a few other things..

However worst movie ever? Not even close.. I don't super analize every movie so maybe that's why i like alot of the movies i choose.. some suck, don't make sense or are 'artsy" and i dont get them.. this was creepy, pretty good suspense and a weird ending.. all good horror movie aspects.. IMO

if ya like it fine, if ya don't fine.. Its the people like trey who make a blanket statement like " this movie sucks and that is the end word" or so it comes off sounding that way..

I liked the hot chicks, I liked the big sword, oh yea, I liked the hot chicks.

I thought it was an OK horror movie. The sound track sounded nice on the Reel Time Rig.
