Probably more drama and fiction than fact. I hate when Hollywood fat cats made money off of a human tragedy. Don't let the show biz kids make money, ignore this film and honor the brave souls who lost their lives to murderous terrorists.

Its not like it's NOT fresh in our minds, what happened simply 5 years ago. Why make a movie about it already? I, for one, will not see this.

Besides, if they JUST released "Evidence from the Pentagon recording" this past month, what makes anyone think ANYONE truly knows what happened? Just doesn't make sense to already have a video out.

don't put the cart before the horse.

if you actually clicked on the link i provided you would have noticed a making of featurette, where the filmmakers not only interviewed the families of the 40 victims, but the families are also glad to see that this movie is being made and that it is overdue. Not only that, but the victims families were outside consultants in the making of.

    geesh people..

    Im torn on this one.

Part of me thinks it sucks that Hollywood is trying to capitalize on this story but then again part of me thinks people need to see this over and over to make sure we never forget what happened and the type of scum we're fighting here.

AA is right tho, the film maker was very respectful in regards to the families and got the apporval of all the families involved before he would release it. Thats very stand up and my hats off to the guy.

too early, plain and simple. 10 yrs down the road, it would have more impact. we all remember it, its still fresh, at least in my mind. A movie will do absoluty nothing for m. just my opinion. this movie was made now because there is no good ideas in Hollywood.

It is my understanding that it is as factual as was possible going off the families versions and from flight recorders and so on. I realize its impossible to get everything right but its supposed to be pretty close.

And Demi is right. You look at most polls today and the #1 thing most people are worried about is health care or gas prices. Some muslim scum detonating a nuculear (sic) bomb in New York is way down the list. Which is kind of ironic. $3/gas wont be too much of a concern if youre dead!

i don't have a flag on my car, nor do i have any "ribbons"- and I still think about 9/11 for at least 10seconds of every day.

But, like MacLeod said, the war on terror is not the #1 on many people's list of issues. And it isn't on mine either. Sorry.

I am very much offended by this statement because you are clearly stereotyping all muslims as being terrorists. I myself am muslim and hope you choose better words next time. Try replacing 'muslim scum' from your vocabulary with something more civilized. Im sure you can handle that.

Yup, and thats a damn shame.

We're dealing with an entire group of people, supported by several countries, that want nothing but to destroy us. Like I said, all these other issues arent going to mean very much when a nuclear bomb is detonated in the middle of New York.

I dont care that youre offended. I never said all muslims are terrorist, but all terrorists are muslims. And Im offended that there are millions of muslims out there, supported by muslim countries that are trying to kill us and whenever some travesty is commited by these muslim scum, I see no condemnation from the muslim community at large.

They can fly planes into our buildings killing thousands of innocent people in the name of islam and we see no muslim outrage.

They can saw off the heads of innocent people and video tape it in the name of islam and we see no muslim outrage.

They can kidnap 3 school girls on their way to school and kill them in the name of islam and we see no muslim outrage.

They can take a school hostage and kill most of the children in the name of islam and we see no muslim outrage.

They can car bomb hospitals in the name of islam and we see no muslim outrage.

They throw bombs into hotels in the name of islam and we see no muslim outrage.

Somebody draws a cartoon of muhamed or actually refers to terrorists as muslim and then all hell break loose. Theyre marching in the streets demonstrating their outrage. Not very civilized to me.

This is one subject I refuse to be politically correct on. These terrorists ARE muslims and are supported by the vast majority of muslims so I have no problem identifying them as such.

pc or not, I've thought the same thing. the reaction to the mohamad pics was the worst (beside crashing planes into stuff, and most of the stuff Macleod allready mentioned.
I might be considerred non PC or insensitive if I say this, but I still chuckle when I hear Islam is the religion of Love. I guess nothin says love like popping a gasket and blowin **** up.

We Christians (Roman Catholics) caught heat for the whole pedophile thing (not that I'm the most religious guy mind you). I didnt get offended, I clearly stated that I thought it was disgusting. I didnt say, "how dare you generalize about all roman catholics being kid touchers, I'm offended". Stop being offended, get pissed off that these loons are destroying your religion, plain and simple. is your religion and tru faith in god important to you? the STEP THE EFF UP! or shut the yap

fact is, non fundamentalist/normal minded/non frikkin lunatic muslims (which are the vast majority by the way) seem to be too afraid to speak out.

I'm happy to see films about this stuff. I think the event is very important to the US and the world and do not like the idea of being too PC to bring up the subject, make movies etc. Given the ways of the world these days it seems to me everyone would have rather ignored the whole tragidy. Next time I don't even expect the press to cover anything. Maybe a mention after the sportscast.

If you don't want people to forget about it, or want to teach your kids about it, buy them a newspaper and show them what Americans are doing in Iraq rather than stuff cash in some Hollywood clowns pocket.

My take, it is time to reaffirm to people why we are at war and the extremism that we are fighting.

I would say this, see it this weekend or wait for DVD. 10% of the weekends take goes to the families.

Mac and Lou, right there 100%. They seem to not get pissed about people being beheaded in public, blowing themselves up, trying to nuke US and Isreal, Rioting in France, burning down embassies, etc.. No outrage from that, but then you say something combining muslim and terrorist and your an insensitive racist and deserve to be beheaded, blown up, nuked, stoned, etc...

    But we're a PEACEFUL religion...

Not saying all muslims are terrorists. Just it seems if it is so peaceful, why can't you control your own? If the muslim community as a whole became as outraged as everyone else is, the support for the terrorists in manpower and money would dry up and everyone would go home in peace. Think about it.
There is no genuine justice in any scheme of feeding and coddling the loafer whose only ponderable energies are devoted wholly to reproduction. Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. "United 93" is the most intense motion picture I have seen. Ever.

It's depiction of the events of 9/11 were straight forward to the point that you felt the fear and terror those aboard--and the confusion and chaos those on the ground--must have felt. You don't stand up and cheer at the end, rather you leave with more of an understanding of what we're up against. And the steely resolve it's going to take to deal with it.

Every American, especially those that vacillate and waiver in the face of this threat, should see "United 93".
