I caught the bug causing coughs and tiredness that is going around. Earlier I had some broth with cayenne pepper, garlic and rice. Now I'm sipping Tequila.

Try Patrone. It makes 1800 taste like tiolet water.

By the way, you Guinness drinkin' boys had better drink up! Saw a news item that said that Guinness/Ireland is considering going belly up as the Irish have cut back on brew drinking and opted for wine!

    What's wrong with them???

I've yet to try that one, I'm fine with Cocoa in a smoke, but can't wrap my head around it in suds. I'll give it a whirl. I am fond of Young's Barley Wine, the name escapes me. I don't normally care for beer I have to chew, but it's a staple, especially as the temps drop outside.

    Cheers,

I share the opinion that many Tequila's are overpriced (not counting the shortage a couple of years ago). Milagro is pure and sanely priced. The average drinker can enjoy a 750ml bottle without any headache. I prefer their smooth silver. William Grant & Sons of New York is the importer. http://www.milagrotequila.com

Currently enjoying 'Rabbid Rabbit' from Three Floyds Brewing Co. It's a Belgian Saison Farmhouse Style Ale. Next up will be Rogue's Imperial IPA. At $16/bottle for the IPA, it better be pretty damned good!

The special Rogue brews are pretty pricey, but their regular stuff isn't so bad. Have you had Old Crustacean Barleywine? The O.C., the Imperial IPA and the Imperial Russian Stout are all $16 here, and their other bottles are around $6/750mil.

A few Blue Moon's. I have a good friend who lives down in Southern Illinois (6 hours away) and she and I don't get together too often anymore. So occasionally (like tonight) we get together on the phone, have a few drinks and catch up. It's almost like meeting at the local watering hole. Except there is no drunk booty call ;) .

Okay, I didn't realize it was one of those uber special brews. Of those, I have not had any. I have had a good number of their other IPAs however.

They're a fantastic brewery. I can't wait to make it out to the Northwest sometime to sample some of the micros.

Call me up, I know where to take you in the greater Seattle area. One day I am going down to Newport, Oregon for a nice long weekend and stay at the Rogue Beer and Bed.

Definately. I'd like to make it up there next year sometime. I've always wanted to visit Seattle and hopefully I'll be able to make the trip soon. The Pacific Northwest is like the Mecca of Microbreweries in the USA. I went on a Microbrewery tour earlier this year in Michigan and my friends and I decided that Washington/Oregon is our next trip.
