    Pawned? He pawned his box?

As for the 400.4 bi-amping the Momos, that just aint the case. Now that is the only amp designed specifically to power the Momos but any 4 channel will work just fine as long as you have it crossed over properly.

Just FYI this is from the MMC6500 manual

"THIS INSTRUCTION IS ONLY FOR THE C400.4 POLK/MOMO AMPLIFIER. With all other amps, you MUST use the passive crossover network included with this product. Any other use will VOID THE WARRANTY."

So if you skip the polk crossover network while using another brand 4 channel amp you void your warrenty. You can still do this, but polk wont cover damage if you amp somehow drops the filters and damage your tweeters. Just something to keep in mind.

    Man, thats a little harsh.

I can see the reason behind it cause Im sure there are a lot of dumbasses out there that would try to run tweeters down to 500 Hz but its still a little much.

Not harsh at all IMO. Its to keep dumbasses from running speakers leads straight from their amps right to the speaker. Besides, if you know what youre doing you should never blow a speaker BECAUSE of bi-amping, it would be something else that was the culprit.

just cause i get awesome discounts on super high-end equipment doesn't mean that i go around buying subs just cause they say "polk" on the front. furthermore, if you like that sort of "noise" that is "rap" then go listen to it . otherwise blast some technical death metal and call yourself cool.

I listen to rap and do not think that it's noise. It is not something I listen to alot, but sometimes when I am in the mood I throw one of my rap cd's in my player. I would not pay good money for my gear to listen to "noise". I actually do not like metal (never have), but just because I do not like it I would no call it noise. Just music that I do not enjoy.

I think the same about metal, at least that for me it sucks. I still believe it is music, just not the type I enjoy listening to. As for what you have said about rap, it just shows that you have no idea about what it is.... For me music is something that you listen to, and once in a while I enjoy listening to some rap. The only thing I really do not listen to is metal, and country.

I like some rap because of the beats they offer. But far as the lyrics it's completely ignorant. All they talk about is how much money there making and how they can rap better than other rappers.

Except that heavy metal and country is actualy using instruments that are being played by musicians and then having a singer actually sing. Rap takes that music that was being played and samples it and then they talk over it. Poetry maybe, music no. Hell most rap I hear now doesnt even use those samples anymore. Its just deep big bass notes complete with some high hats. There is this restaurant I deliver to and the cooks in there are always listening to rap and all it is is BOOM tick tick tick BOOM with some dispshit saying the N word and "gansta" over and over again.

Just because you listen to it doesnt mean its music. I listen to audio books, theyre not music and neither is rap.

If you like rap thats cool, Im not saying you shouldnt listen to it and enjoy it. Just dont call it music.

No it doesnt but the fact that nobody is playing any instruments or singing, and generally has no musical talent of any kind is what makes it not music.

Its simply some dude talking over some electronically generated bass tones.

Hell, I can download a tone generator, program it to play 40 Hz bombs and then start saying n*****, n*****, gangsta, gangsta. Does that mean I just wrote a song?

lol. I agree with both sides a little bit. While I dont think 'Lil Jon' is a musically enclined individual, there are a few good hip hop artists that I like. I do agree the rap/hip hop genre has a lot of crap in it, but if you listen to some of it, actually listen, a few of em actually do have meaning behind em. Every genre has their bad singers, rap/hip hop just seem to have more

You hit it on the head Cody. I do believe rap has alot more crap to dig through though. Still does not mean that there is no talent there as Mac is stating.

This statement "Hell, I can download a tone generator, program it to play 40 Hz bombs and then start saying n*****, n*****, gangsta, gangsta. Does that mean I just wrote a song?" just speaks volumes regarding his misunderstading of it. People could just say country is nothing more than whining, but it is alot more. Metal is just guitar noise, but again it's alot more. While I do not dig that music, I don't say it is not music. Country I can listen to at times.

Music: The art and science of combining vocal or instrumental sounds or tones in varying melody, harmony, rhythm and timbre, especially so as to form structurally complete and emotionally expressive compositions.

As Mac pointed out, there is no singing or musical instruments in rap, therefore it is most decidedly not music.

"vocal or instrumental sounds or tones"
It doesnt say anything about singing. There are country songs where they arent really singing, more just telling a story to background music. And if you call an electric guitar a musical instrument, a computer can most def. be classified as the same.
