There are trees, not just as many as other parts of Canada. My son (6 years old) and I were out most of the day. I guess you get used to the weather. Actually it was real nice today in the sun.
Here are some good photos. (The file size is over 6MB)

    Yes!

And also don't forget about cameras in ATM machines that would have been along their path.

Man, that's some effed up stuff right there. I was kind of late getting to the thread. I saw the title and thought it was a video or something. I'm glad your daughter and her friends are ok. It's just a shame that they had to go through something like that. I kind of hope the cops don't catch them and they try to pull something at your place just so you can pop each one of them in the head. None of them deserve to live.

It would be a real shame if somebody made these scumbags disappear in the middle of the night! in a previous life i was a part of the Naval special Warfare community and i know for a fact that sometimes bad guys can vannish without a trace never to be seen or heard from again. thanks....WCW III

Robert, this is an eff'd up thing to go through but all are safe and this is golden.

I was robbed with a pistol pushed into my ribs by a **** wearing a ski mask. It took me a couple of years to get over it but now I pay more attention to my surroundings, just with less paranoia. The other result is that I work on as many goals as possible every day.

You are well qualified as a father figure and the girls will be okay. Good thing you changed the locks, now you can sleep with one eye closed.

Thank you Raife for that link. Those LA laws make me feel good inside. Some frontier laws should still be on the books. Horse thieves faced hanging.

Bear, Keep an eye on them and make sure they discuss what happened and their feelings. I used to be a banker and about 6 years ago I was in an armed robbery. The type where they take over the whole bank. I had a sawed off shot gun pointed at my forehead. I had to open some of the cash drawers while the gun was pointed at me, luckily I was calm and was able to get the drawers open quickly. As I lay on the ground my only thought was, how much will it hurt if I get shot. They did the whole ski-masks/fatigues/several stolen vehicles routine. Turns out they were from California and Iowa. The one guy had just gotten out for bank robbery in Cali.

They were crack-heads looking for a quick score. They finally got caught trying to do a drug deal at a local convention center/hotel. They were real bad dude's. They both went away for what will amount to life w/o parole. I still have a reaction whenever I see someone in a ski-mask wether it be during the winter or on TV. It took me along time to feel safe again and simply discussing it with as many friends and family as possible hepled a great deal. Glad they are safe and unharmed. Always give them what they want as quickly as possible and let them be on their way.

I missed the post yesterday (funeral) but I'm glad the girls are ok. It's just too bad you couldn't have a private one on one conference with each of the worthless s**ts if they get arrested.

    Bear,
Thank GOD noone was hurt. I got held up at gunpoint when I lived in Nashville, back in 1994. Dude just jumped right in the car at a stoplight, during rush hour and stuck a 45 to my temple. I really wasn't scared of the gun, but was scared of his shaking while holding it.

I'll try to give you a call later on today, okay?

Sorry for my lateness but I'm glad to hear the girls are both ok. Property is replaceable. Life goes on - don't get to hung up on this. I don't mean to sound insensitive but your daughter is alive, you've beefed up security, and if they do come around it sounds like they'll regret it.

    Glad everyone is ok.

A little off topic, but how many people get robbed at gun point? Ive never known anyone thats been held up, but jesus christ, it seems like a quarter of the ppl that replied to this were telling their own held at gun point stories...
