Saw this one today and thoroughly enjoyed it. Actually thought it was better than the first one, which I count as one of my favorites. Well paced with plenty of action. Followed up well on the first movie by filling in missing parts of the story and adding a few interesting twist. If you enjoyed the first one, I don't think you'll be disappointed with this second stanza. I will probably see it again, and eagerly look forward to the DVD release.
Main theater: Paradigm Studio 100's v4 L/R, CC690 Center, ADP 590 x4 Surrounds. Dual Outlaw LFM-EX-1's, Yamaha Aventage RX-A1010 as Processor, Anthem PVA-7 Amp

Secondary System: Polk RTi 6 L/R, CSi3, Center, FXi3 x4 Surrounds, Def-Tech Supercube II, Pioneer Elite VSX-23 Receiver

I just got back from seeing this one and it is pretty good.

Im a huge Kate Beckinsale fan and love a good vampire movie so I figured Id like this one.

It has pretty good action and good special effects. The fight scenes arent all that though. With todays film making technology youd expect a little better.

The story is also a little hard to follow. There were quite a few times I was going, "huh? Who is he? But wait, I thought it was the other guy that was...".

Its not the best movie in the world but if youre a fan of the first one and/or have the hots for Kate then this may be worth checking out.

    Awesome, awesome, awesome....

I loved the first one, and this one was even better, and a lot faster of a pace. I think Kate is drop dead gorgeous, but I am obviously not alone in that view!

Everything just works and it didn't seem like a sequel just to be a sequel, and there will be more. I think these movies are much better than Blade, and I really like those movies as well. They're cheesy, but very entertaining. I have always like the modern day Vampire flicks. Underworld has managed to have a consistent story throughout.

I hope they put this one in a Superbit format like the first.

Fantastic movie IMHO. Kate is HOT HOT HOT!!! The only thing dissapointing in the movie is that you don't get to see all of her assets during the sex scene :(

Nope, Superbit just gets rid of all the bonus features and extras so that it can use as much of the disc space as possible for video and audio content. Therefore, better AV quality. Will work just fine on your DVD player

The wife and I just saw this tonight. I'm guessing we're getting older, but this was gratuitously bloody and just plain gross with all the violence and effects (werewolves were cartoony at the beginning). We thought the story line was really good; it filled in the gaps and extended the plot, but at the expense of content versus shock. I won’t buy the DVD.

But... Kate was still hawt! ;)

Kate is hot, but this was a bad movie.

No offense to those who liked it, but it's easily the worst movie I've seen that wasn't directed by Paul Verhoeven.

OH ya, I'm thinking of just buying it. But I might want to wait now that you said they may come out with an extended or superbit title as well. At least I'll give it a rent and see if it's as good as they all say :) I'm a HUGE fan of the first.. so I will probably be an easy audience to win over.
