Wax Trax, a store and a label. Can't tell you how many teenage weekend pilgrimages were made to just browse at the Chicago store. There were so few ways to find out about new music back then. You would walk up and down the aisles just look at the signs that said "If you like this and you sort of know that, then you must now buy this." -
It's nice to hear of someone else who visited the Wax Trax! store on Lincoln! I absolutely loved that store and miss it to this day. I bought many, many 12" singles by the likes of Revolting ****, Ministry, Greater Than One, Pailhead, Front 242, and myriad others. I definitely went through my Wax Trax phase in high school. Do you remember Pigface? The "super group" that everyone on that label ended up contributing to at some point or other.I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Going with statue theme and this album cover just jumped out at me. Some regard it as the best studio album from one of my top 10 british bands of all time. Probably put them in there around #6 or so. Sadly, never found the same success on this side of the pond.

This direction is way South by SE of us. Latin pop and soft rock among the many genres, although this album returns more to his native country style of music. Very carnival sounding. Even if you can't, this album makes you want to dance. If you have a good low end, some of these tracks may startle you the first time you hear them (makes me smile) and will get the dust off the woofers. Not an obscure artist. Part of his last name is something you would do to a fence or relationship. First name, think spaghetti western director.
