I like the Ask a Ninja review:

I'll probably wait for video release, just like the 1st one.

It felt like a 2 1/2 hour long trailer for the third. Ninja is like 92% dead on.

That guy is an idiot! Remember people, it's the second part of a TRILOGY. That means, you can be left hanging, because the Third installment doesn't come out til next year.

But whatever, don't want to over complicate things for these wee little minds :D

I just saw this tonight and I love Depp but I kept looking at my watch on this one. I just could not get into it and enjoyed the first one much better. This just seemed to much. Too much silly fighting, escaping, more fighting more escaping...then giant squid......more squid...and but wait! there's ........wait for it..........more giant squid!

It had it's moments but to me it could have been shortened a lot. I will Netflix the third installment.

Trilogly or not, I felt totally the same way, Empire Strikes Back and LOTR TT where both middle acts of trilogies and they atleast had some sort of end that didn't just leave you setting there saying '' THATS IT" "THATS THE END". Don't get me wrong I enjoyed the movie but they could have give us something. Heck even the Matrix Reloaded did a better job with the ending

We saw it this afternoon and enjoyed it. I might have to watch it again to get the same feelings Trey had about it.

Ending did seem abrupt, but it did make me want to see the third one even more, so they accomplished what they planned.

I thought the film was a lot of fun. Really enjoyed it. I did think the fighting scenes had a bit too much slapstick, but then it's a Disney movie.
I didn't mind the end so much. Years go by so fast now, it isn't a big deal. The only thing that bugged me about the end is that I came away thinking: Doesn't anyone in these **** movies actually die and stay dead? How are we supposed to care when a major character dies if they just waltz back in whenever the writers feel like it?

    Here is my review.
Are you fu^%ing kidding me. IMO, I repeat, IMO this was the biggest waste of film in years. It was an insult to my limited intelligence:o, Lets just take every bit that made the last movie good and run it into the ground, grab a bunch of Star Wars bar scene rejects and make them scary ( ooooooooooH:eek:) , encourage Johnnie Depp to continue and expand on his Keith Richard impersonation, throw in lots of sword fighting where no one ever gets hit and then extend this jewel for about an hour too long. Oh Yea then end it with a shameless plug for their next piece of crap. You don't suppose they could have made that damn waterwheel scene go any longer? (in my best Lewis Black voice) "This is a piece of **** and it pisses me off".

What a fun movie. One of the better popcorn films of the last several years. Simple plot like the first, some very cool ride shots in the movie, same acting as before and some excellent SE's. But that ending, perfect.

This delivered better then I had expected, equal to the first if not a bit better.

You disappoint me ;) I loved it! The Ninja was stupid, but the movie had a good plot, great acting, (Don't tell me it's over the top when you have a ship full of half dead half alive guys floating around the ocean which is fine, but if they turn a few too many times in the watermill, it's just unbelievable.) and incredible scenery. :D:D

It's a fantasy flick. And as such, it takes the cake.

I'll probably see it again in the theaters, and will definitely own for my collection. I liked the ending, it made you wonder, and hold your breath for the final installment. They have quite a few loose ends to tie up...

Was it as good as the first one? I don't know about that. But, it was at least an 8 / 10 on my proverbial scale rating system. Anything over a 6 is worth the price of admission I think.

I think they took what made the first one great and pushed it too far and made this one just OK. Too much reliance on CGI and action rather than plotlines and charactor development and interaction.

Oh, and the end did piss me off as well....

    I thoroughly enjoyed this movie.

The parts I stayed awake for were entertaining with good sound and graphics.

The part that I got a good half hour nap in I also thoroughly enjoyed.

I went and saw it at 12AM Thursday night or Friday morning depending how you look at it. It was pretty cool I thought. I expected it to be funny and entertaining, which it was. I'm not disappointed at all. I'd definitely watch it again. I'd rather watch it at home though. Movie speakers suck!

i watched it yesterday at the mega multi plex... i liked it too. good effects, some funny parts, some good chase scenes, and Johnny Depp carried the movie all the way thru. He hit another home run with this one. My only complaint is.. they turned down the sound to much.. i think they did it so as not to scare the little kids in the audience. I wish they would have cranked it.

I also saw Cars this weekend. Cute, but nothing special.

Too much action, right? It was exhausting--Like King Kong. They got so caught up with doing the 15 minute fights, that the story got lost.

Directors note: The fight scene need only be about 3 minutes for the audience to get that the 2 people don't like each other.
