Looks equal to that of the first. A must see in the theater.

I hear ya! Yet I still fold sometimes and go. A friend of mine always says "whatever the market will bear". Ya know, if people would somehow "ban(d)" together and just REFUSE to spend that much at the concessions stand, things WOULD change.

    Exactly.

I like my system much more than paying the hollywood machine at the theater.
I go to the theater maybe once or twice a year but I watch mor movies than that almost every week.
I will be buying this one blindly, I like Depp's acting.

Just read an early screening review. The reviewer likened it to Empire Strikes Back as it just clicks on all levels and is amazing. Said Depp expands on Jack Sparrow and hits it big again. Apparently the 3rd and final comes out next summer to end the trilogy.

Superman Returns and Pirates....I may just have to hit the theater twice this summer! Actually, Xmen disappointed me, so I'm forgetting that one.
    No excuses!

I am not a huge movie guy but I have been really looking forward to this one. Captain Jack Sparrow has to be my favourite character of any movie I have ever seen. The perfect balance of coolness and wackiness, without being over the top super heroish. Very believable.

Awesome movie!! The lead chick looks a lot hotter this time around. The costumes for Davy Jone's crew are good.

I haven't seen it yet, but if it's even 1/2 as entertaining as the first I'll be satisfied. Johnny Depp is one of my favorite male actors and it was nice to see him in a carefree role which he nailed in the first one. When I think of movies that have nothing more than pure entertainment value, Pirate of the Carribean always comes to mind.

This is EASILLY the best movie Ive seen this year...(or in a while for that matter)....

    9 out of 10

    PS:

I was kind of leary of Squid Face Davey Jones... but the sinister feel to the guy was astouding... he made you think he was evil. Plain and simple. Excellent acting all the way around.
